This studio furnished apartment sits in New York’s Upper East Side, a prestigious area of Manhattan with a long history. Trees overhang the street (East 89th Street and 3rd Avenue) and notable architecture—such as the historic rowhouses—peeks from behind the trunks. The building which houses this furnished rental blends the older and the newer styles present on the block. And with an elevator and laundry amenities, it checks off boxes for pragmatism as well as charm.
Please note that after going through the 1st door of the building, there is a time limit for opening the 2nd.
The dichotomy continues inside the apartment rental itself, with a decorative fireplace and air conditioning, a separate kitchen and a window to pass food through, a tub and a shower. Peach-colored hardwood flooring runs from room to room, and though the apartment follows a studio layout, corridors give the space a segmented feel. The kitchen outfit includes an oven, a microwave, a toaster, a coffeemaker, a fridge and a freezer. The living room includes a sofa, a dining table, a TV. As this is a studio apartment, the living room also includes a bed—a queen-size bed.
The Upper East Side is one of the more residential locales in Manhattan. Yet there are still shops, delis, stores and restaurants here. As with all New York fare—especially in Manhattan—you can expect something unique to eat. The big draw of the Upper East Side is the flock of museums, concentrated along 5th Avenue at the edge of Central Park (which is 0.5 miles or around 800 meters from the apartment) in a stretch known as Museum Mile.
The subway station at Lexington Avenue and 86th Street is located three blocks away. You can catch the 4, 5, and 6 trains there. The subway station at 2nd Avenue and 96th Street is located twice as far. There you can catch the N and Q trains.
