On a tree-lined street in Carnegie Hill, Upper East Side, Manhattan, this 1-bathroom furnished studio apartment says New York with subtlety rather than bravado. Sitting near the corner of East 89th Street and 3rd Avenue, the building has a laundry room, and the apartment has a balcony.
Please note that after going through the 1st door of the building, there is a time limit for opening the 2nd.
This apartment offers contemporary flair in a historically significant community. A distinct layout carves two semi-independent spaces out of the studio floor plan. Sandy-gray hardwood floor flows through the living space, unifying this extended main room. Walking through the front door, you can see straight to a window that looks out beside the balcony. A decorative, brick fireplace adds spice to furnishings in the contemporary style—a double bed, a sofa, and a TV. In the separate kitchen, a fridge with freezer, an oven, a microwave, and a coffeemaker combine to give you choices when you prepare your meals. A soak in the tub rounds out the experience.
The Upper East Side is known for its luxurious history. It was a home to the Roosevelts, the Kennedys, and the Rockefellers. It now makes an excellent home for museums both big, such as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and small, such as the Jewish Museum. Located two blocks east of the apartment, Ruppert Park flaunts lustrous foliage in the middle of the concrete jungle. Two blocks south of the apartment, Whole Foods Market provides an organic grocery option.
To the south you will also find the 86th Street/Lexington Avenue Subway Station, which runs the 4, 5, and 6 trains. At the corner of 2nd Avenue on the same street, you can hop on the N, Q, and R trains. These stations are both three blocks from the apartment.

My stay in this apartment was amazing. The only potential improvement I can talk about is the presence of mice on a regular basis making a lot of noises and coming inside the apartment which is kind of scary sometimes. |
