If you’re looking for a furnished apartment in a great neighborhood just a few stops from Manhattan, this two bedroom/two bathroom jewel, located in a private townhouse in popular Astoria, Queens is the perfect solution for your upcoming stay in New York City. Situated in a gated community, this third floor walkup (considered second floor by Europeans) includes laundry facilities in the building.
As you step into the living room, you will notice that the apartment is filled with light thanks to the two large windows. There is no shortage of furniture, with a double size futon, a coffee table, and television among the furnishings provided, great for after work relaxation or overnight weekend guests. The living area opens to the kitchen, and the two areas are separated by a bar tabletop with chairs. For more formal meals, there is a dining area with table that seats four. The kitchen even has a dishwasher! Air conditioning and fans are available in both the living room and bedrooms.
Each bedroom includes a window and a full sized bed with drawers among other furnishings. Closets for storage are also provided. Two bathrooms complete the apartment so you will never have to fight over the shower! One bathroom features a full tub, while the other offers a shower stall.
Astoria is one of the most popular residential neighborhoods in New York, and once you experience the convenience that comes from living in such a diverse and bustling area, you will quickly understand why! A great place to shop for groceries is the Costco located along the East River waterfront. There are also many convenient shops to be found along Broadway. Though Astoria is known for its beer gardens, there are several beautiful parks within walking distance, such as the Socrates Sculpture Garden and Rainey Park. If the weather is nice, a fun and very offbeat expedition across the Roosevelt Island Bridge just blocks away may be in order. A completely self-contained island in the middle of the East River between Queens and Manhattan, this destination is one of New York’s most unique. It’s a great place to enjoy a picnic and some gorgeous views at the beautiful lighthouse park located at the north end of the island.
Thanks to this two bedroom’s proximity to the N and Q train at 31st Street and Broadway, transportation to Manhattan is simple. The station is .6mi/1km from the apartment, but there is a bus that you can catch to make this trip quicker. Both the N and Q trains provide service to Midtown Manhattan in addition to a variety of other destinations across Manhattan and Brooklyn, including the popular transit hubs at Times Square and Union Square.
