This apartment is in a prime location. Located next to Times Square and each subway station necessary to get around. The room is perfect for someone who needs short term housing and is constantly on the go. It does get loud from time to time but it's definitely manageable.

The building manager was always quick to respond to any issues and I had no real complications during my stay other than dealing with cockroaches. The exterminator did come monthly which significantly helped decrease the number of cockroaches over time.

The building is very secure as you need a key to enter the gate and to enter the door. I never felt unsafe which was great as I was living alone in the city for the first time.

Overall I would definitely recommend this place! It's quaint and ideal for someone looking for a short term simplistic apartment in a prime location!

Very good location to Times Square and the Garment District. The apartment is central to all subway lines. No laundry, but there is a laundromat on the corner (about a 3-5 minute walk). Tiny, but aren't all NY apartments tiny? Dishes, towels, linens included. Full size fridge. Owner was great when I had needed help. Response was quick.

The apartment was exactly what it was billed as, and was perfect for my purposes. However, a lack of a front door bell made getting packages a chore, and is something that, I believe, would have really benefited the building.

The amenities were fine, though, another set of sheets would have been nice. Given the location, the noise levels were expected, but there were occasions when other tenants were somewhat louder than usual. These occasions were few and far between. The most noise came from the constant renovations going on in other apartments, which ranged from slight, to quite loud and disruptive. The building materials perpetually stacked in the walkways did not add to the ease of entry or exit.

Otherwise, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to live for a prolonged period of time.

I'm glad your overall experience was a good one. Extra sheets (or anything else), is available upon request. Carmen and Wilson are in the building often and keep supplies in the storage room. As you are aware, they are very helpful, and always eager to please.

The renovations in the rear building (where you stayed), have been completed. The renovations to the front building will be finished the end of April. I talked to the workers and asked that they keep the hallway clear of any materials. The work does not start until after 8:00 AM and is stopped by 5:00 PM so we don't disturb the
tenants after hours.

Your advice about installing an intercom is appreciated, we are getting estimates next week and plan to have it installed in the very near future. We hope to see you again on your next visit to New York.

So, I stayed in NYC during JUN and I would like to say that I was treated very well by Darrell and He was very helpful. I met NY Habitat through a friend and today I am certain that I got the right choice;

About the apartment:

Everything was fine. The location was very good, close to Times Square, bus station, Metro station;
Despite being noisy neighborhood, the apartment is very quiet.
The apartment is clean and has enough for holidays;

I was totally satisfied!

When I came back to NYC, New York Habitat will be my partner...

Thanks a lot!
