This fully furnished room for rent is in a shared 2-bedroom apartment in Morningside Heights, a historic neighborhood in Uptown Manhattan, New York. The apartment in on the 7th floor of an 8-story building with an elevator. This building has an intercom/buzzer system and double access doors at the entrance to provide security.
The first available bedroom features a private bathroom (Bedroom 1). Enjoy this 300 square foot bedroom with a private en suite half bathroom (sink and W/C). The room is lined with bamboo floors and is furnished with a queen size bed and a television with cable channels. There are shelves and a walk-in closet for storage. Air conditioning is available to cool the room, and there is wireless Internet access. A large window with eastern exposure allows in natural light and overlooks the neighborhood.
The second available bedroom (Bedroom 2), is smaller. Lined with bamboo floors, it is furnished with a with a double size bed, a desk, and a double size sofabed. There is a closet for storing your belongings and a television with cable access for entertainment. A window with eastern exposure allows in sunlight and give a view of the neighborhood, and there is also air conditioning available in this room.
The kitchen and full bathroom (with bathtub/shower) are shared with the roommate. The rest of the apartment is also cooled by air conditioning. The separate kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities needed for cooking and more, including the convenience of a dishwasher, microwave and food processor. There is a dining table in the living room for eating at home. The living room has two sitting areas, with a wall divider to separate the space.
This two bedroom apartment share is on 8th Avenue in Morningside Heights, a historic area near Harlem in Manhattan, New York City. Morniningside Park is less than 2 blocks from the apartment and Columbia University is only three blocks away. A walk along 8th Avenue will offer you restaurants, bars and delis as well as a supermarket two blocks south.
Public transportation is particularly convenient to this room for rent with the B and C trains serving the 116 Street / 8 Avenue subway station just three blocks south. You can also walk up to the 125 Street / Saint Nicholas Avenue station, served by the A and D trains. They offer an express service to lower Manhattan and Brooklyn and will take you to Midtown in only one stop!

I really enjoyed my 4-months stay in this appartment. The location is one of its main advantages: both express and local trains are nearby and provide an excellent connection. Although living uptown in Harlem you do not feel to be off the vivid midtown. The A and D will bring you there in a couple of minutes. |
