There are five individual rooms for rent in this 6 bedroom apartment to share. The apartment occupies the second floor (considered first floor by Europeans) of a 3 story townhouse built circa 1901 in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The private house features a front garden shared among the residents.
This 1200 sqf (110 m²) shared property is a good option for students who want their own room yet want to share a house with other roommates to get to know New York with. The individuals rooms are rented both on a nightly and weekly basis to short-term guests, as well as to monthly renters, so your neighbors may change frequently.
Bedroom #1 has a double bed with night table and closet space for storing your belongings. There is also an area above the closet and door for large item storage. There is a dresser with mirror and a desk perfect for studying or working at. This bedroom has 3 windows for plenty of sunlight and faces the street.
Bedroom #2 has two single beds with a nightstand and lamp in between. Perfect for two friends looking to share a room in an apartment shared with roommates. A desk with multiple drawers and a mirror can be used as either a vanity table or desk for work or study. There is a tall dresser and closet to place your belongings in. There is a window beside each bed that faces the backyard.
Bedroom #3 has a single bed, night table and lamp, a dark wood dresser and closet for your belongings. You'll have a desk with chair where you can study or use your computer. There is an extra storage space above the closet for larger items as well. The window in this room faces the backyard.
If you love sunlight you'll be in heaven in Bedroom #4 with 5 windows to fill your room with natural sunlight. You'll have a single bed and night stand as well as a patina colored dresser with mirror and closet. There is a desk convenient for studying or working at.
Brightly colored Bedroom #5 has a single bed and decorative brick fireplace area where the dresser fits. A cozy nook in the corner by the window provides a place where you can work or study at your desk. Beside this area there is a closet for your belongings and a storage space above the closet perfect for tucking away your luggage.
The shared bathroom is also situated on this floor and features unique tile work and has a combination tub/shower, a pedestal sink, and toilet.
Please note that there is no kitchen or living area on this floor. However there is a communal kitchen that you can use on the third floor with granite countertops, brick details and equipped with all the necessities allowing for you to prepare meals and store groceries.
Explore Brooklyn from your new home base, close to both the 2 and 5 subway lines at Beverly Road, this roommate share apartment is convenient to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for nature lovers and Prospect Park where outdoor activities and events abound all year round. On Nostrand Avenue you will find the nearest delis, grocery stores and dining. Flatbush has a unique mix of ethnic dining hard to find elsewhere. For those who like to experience other cultures and cuisines here are just a few to start off with: Bahar Shishkebab House at 984 Coney Island Avenue lets you experience rare Afghan food. You can try Haitian and Caribbean goods at Church Avenue Bakery located at 1917A Church Avenue. For drinks head to Sycamore at 1118 Cortelyou Road, its half bar / half flower shop (how's that for an interesting mix?), they have a back garden outdoor space and you can catch a live music in the basement too!

I spent a month and 3 weeks in the building and I enjoyed my stay pretty much. The room is nice and cozy with a wide wardrobe and enough space for everything. The only problem is the WiFi, which is pretty shaky, the signal going back anf forth many times, but the owners are trying to fix the problem. Other issues were the fact that both bathrooms were not entirely clean, and the kitchen has only a small table, not that comfortable if you want to sit and eat your meal. But apart from this, everything else was perfectly ok; whenever I had a problem, a question or a need, the owners were extremely kind and willing to solve everything. Also the other room mates were very nice and I enjoyed good conversations in the evening with all of them. with |

The tenants were discreet and there wasn't much interaction between the other tenants living here. |

This owner was very welcoming. When I came to see the apartment, she picked a flower from the tree in the courtyard to put it in my room! |

Thank you for your feedback, we have resolved the problems you identified. We just had a professional photographer from New York Habitat come to take updated pictures. We clean each room twice a month, but only when you are around and with your permission, so as not to invade your privacy. Your closet may not have appeared completely clean, as there is a paint stain on the carpet in your closet. I will replace the carpet in the closet. As for someone writing on the wall in the closet, everything has been repainted, as the New York Habitat photographer and agent can confirm. I'm so sorry that the bathroom was a problem for you, I wish you had let me know, I would have fixed any problems immediately! The problems with the bathroom have all been resolved, as the New York Habitat agent can confirm. Thank you for your kind remarks, we will continue to improve. |

Thank you for your feedback, Lucille! I'm glad you really liked this host. Further to your review, one of our agents and photographers went to visit this accommodation to check to make sure the issues you mentioned had been resolved, as well as to take more pictures, to more accurately portray this accommodation. According to our agent, the closets were clean and the host assured us that they will make sure the closets remain clean. Our agent found that the dustiness had been cleaned and the walls have been fixed and painted, so there are no holes and no writing on any of the walls. Our agent could not find any bare wires and the owner was not aware of any. The bathroom ventilation had been fixed as well. The host has repaired any chipped paint. This host is committed to providing a wonderful stay and assured us that guests should not hesitate to let them know if there are any issues during their stay, and they will fix the problems immediately. Thank you for your feedback! |

Very big and comfortable bedroom in a very quiet area of Brooklyn with many and various stores that are open very late and for most of them 24/7. The roommate hosts are incredibly kind. Buses Q - 2 and 5 are just a few blocks away and Beverley Road station is 35 minutes from Times Square with the express train. |
