Check out this thoughtfully furnished two bedroom apartment with an excellent location - 14th Street and 1st Avenue in Manhattan! This area, known as Gramercy, is great for those who want to be near restaurants, stores and the city lights, and is only one subway stop away from Williamsburg when you want to try something new! This walk-up unit is on the top floor of a 4-story townhouse (considered 3-story by Europeans), and has a buzzer/intercom system at the entrance. There is a common laundry facilities in the basement.
Inside this air-conditioned apartment, you will find it decorated with a contemporary neutral décor. Chocolate brown walls in the bedroom are accented with dark curtains and the hardwood floors, making the white walls pop. There is a queen bed and desk in bedroom 1 for getting work done, as well as a closet with built-in shelving and drawers for storing clothes and belongings. The living room has a similar feel, with a convertible double sized sofa bed and a dining table for meals at home. The kitchen and bathroom are towards the interior of the unit. There is a rainfall shower in the bathroom and stainless steel refrigerator, gas stove and microwave greet you in the separate kitchen.
Please note that there is a hospital close to the apartment, therefore some siren noise can be heard at times.
Downstairs and outside the building you will find yourself on a smaller street off of the main Manhattan thoroughfares, but not far from them! The Gramercy - Union Square area has much to offer:
- Three parks within 1/2 a mile (700m), the closest and smallest being Stuyvesant Square, perfect for reading a book in the sunlight, then Union Square, which is great for meeting up with friends, and also Tompkins Square Park, where you can catch WiFi or enjoy watching dogs play in the dog park.
- Restaurants galore: Grab a legendary pie at Motorino, one of Manhattan's finest pizzerias, or get some unique small plates created by chef David Chang at Momofoku Ssam Bar, both within 3 blocks of the apartment (about 400m).
- Shop til you drop: There is a H&M, Gap, Forever 21, Anthropologie, Diesel and much much more in the blocks surrounding Union Square park. For groceries, Trader Joe's (and its popular wine shop) is just 4 blocks away (about 550m) and there is a Whole Foods Market off of Union Square, about 1/2 a mile (800m) from this two bedroom.
For your daily commute or visiting other NYC hotspots, you have the L train a little over a block from the apartment (about 250m). This train will connect you to the transit hub at Union Square in 2 stops and Williamsburg in 1 stop.
