Get to know an up-and-coming New York neighborhood by choosing this room for rent in a two bedroom apartment. The room is located on the second (considered first in Europe) of six floors of a mid-rise building near the intersection of Linden Boulevard and Rogers Avenue in the Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. There is a security system (intercom) outside for your protection and laundry facilities in the basement for your convenience.
Please note that this is a room for rent in an apartment share. While the bedroom is your private space, common areas such as the living room and kitchen will be shared with a roommate.
Colorful vintage décor and hardwood floors give this apartment a unique vibe. The living is furnished with two sofas, a glass coffee table and a flat screen television (with cable!). The separate eat-in kitchen is the epitome of convenience, with a large table and three chairs, a stainless steel fridge and sink and all the necessary appliances, not to mention lots of cabinet space.
Your bedroom faces the parking lot behind the building, with two windows behind the double bed. Other furnishings include a armoire and mirror, a larger wardrobe, another flat screen cable TV, and a closet, making this a great choice if you’re looking for plenty of storage space!
One of the best parts of living in Prospect Lefferts Gardens is that Brooklyn’s famous Prospect Park is just blocks away (.6mi/1km). Explore the less-crowded southern part of the park and discover the Tennis Center, Parade Ground and the meandering Prospect Park Lake.
This diverse neighborhood has something to offer everyone, from New Hong Kong’s Chinese-style BBQ (.2mi/260m) to Caribbean comfort food at Mango Seed (.4mi/700m) and Venus (.2mi/350m). Work off all that delicious cuisine at Blink Fitness right down the street (.3mi/500m) or on a run around the area’s tree-lined streets.
The rest of NYC is easy to reach with a quick trip on the subway. Your nearby stops are:

I've been in the room for two months. It's cozy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen and the bathroom are clean. Rules are simple and clear, while the Host is polite and willing to help in case you need it. |

The owner is a sweetheart, she is so friendly, kind and easy going as long as you follow her rules which are reasonable. She made me feel like I am home and we usually share food together. The apartment is in a quite old building as many others in the city but it's clean and safe. I stayed there for 5 months and I can't have any complaints. Very high recommended. |

The host of the apartment was very friendly and kind. The price/quality ratio was excellent. The apartment was located in a nice neighbourhood. It took me 10 minutes to walk to the train station. I lived there for five months and the time flew by, so I would recommend this apartment to everyone. |

The apartment is spacious and cozy. I had my own room, and the possibility to use the shared living room and kitchen. the landlord was generously sharing of her kitchen tools and water bottles. |
