Lining the street, trees shoot from a sidewalk near the corner of Madison Street and Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn. Here, on the second floor (equivalent to the first floor in Europe) of a two-story building, there is a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment share (one bedroom available). This is New York City and there is no other place just like it.
Inside this shared apartment, the furnished bedroom has a double bed. There is also ample closet space and air conditioning to beat the New York heat. This room for rent has access to the apartment’s kitchen. Hardwood flooring flows out of the bedroom and into the open kitchen. There is a fridge, a freezer, and an oven here. There is a dining table in the adjacent living room, as well as a sofa and a TV. This area is also air conditioned. A wood pattern in the first bathroom gives the room the feel of a Rocky Mountain lodge. Here there is a tub/shower combination unit. In the second bathroom there is a shower.
Brooklyn is home to attractions less flashy than those of its neighbor, Manhattan. It is nevertheless a destination location, owing no small debt to the people who live here. Prospect Park is considered by many one of the top parks in the city. There is also the Brooklyn Flea, Industry City, Coney Island, the Brooklyn Academy of Music. And Brooklyn pizza is widely considered the best in the country. Brooklyn College is a 5.4-mile (around 8.7-kilometer) walk from the apartment. There are a couple of laundromats within a mile of the apartment.
Three blocks from the apartment is the Gates Avenue subway station on Broadway. It runs the J train.
