Lining the street, trees shoot from a sidewalk near the corner of Madison Street and Bushwick Avenue in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is home to attractions less flashy than those of its neighbor, Manhattan. It is nevertheless a destination location, owing no small debt to the people who live here. Prospect Park is considered by many one of the top parks in the city. There is also the Brooklyn Flea, Industry City, Coney Island, the Brooklyn Academy of Music. And Brooklyn pizza is widely considered the best in the country. Brooklyn College is a 5.4-mile (around 8.7-kilometer) walk from the apartment. There are a couple of laundromats within a mile of the apartment.
Three blocks from the apartment is the Gates Avenue subway station on Broadway. It runs the J train.
