Live like a local in Le Marais, Paris with this studio apartment in the 3rd arrondissement!
Located on the 3rd French floor (considered 4th in U.S.) of a 5-story building, the studio apartment sits on Rue du Vertbois between Rue de Turbigo & Rue Saint Martin. Use of a staircase is necessary to access the home, which is protected by a security system.
The 30sqm (323sqft) accommodation offers a classic Parisian ambiance, showcasing hardwood floors and exposed beam ceilings. An antique mirror hangs on one wall, and there is a bookshelf built into a separate wall that offers a colorful assortment of literature. For sleeping, there is a queen bed and a convertible sofa bed (double). Amenities include a laundry washer/dryer, cable television, and a dining table fit for four. A fully-equipped kitchen area provides tenants with essential cooking appliances for meals at home, and a dishwasher for easy clean-up.
Le Marais, Paris of the 3rd arrondissement is arguably the most romantic area of Paris, as it is the only one that as preserved the narrow streets and architecture of the Medieval and Renaissance eras. Here you can shop boutiques, tour galleries and walk through the beautiful green squares of the community. We suggest learning the history of the city at Musée Carnavalet (1.3km/0.8mi), and viewing modern art at the Centre Georges Pompidou (1km/0.6mi). Also shop around the Beaubourg neighborhood (1km/0.6mi), visit the Paris City Hall called Hotel de Ville (1.4km/0.9mi), and check out Renaissance-era mansion Hotel de Soubise (1km/0.6mi).
Please note that there is a temple right next door and the apartment could be noisy on Sunday morning.
Public transportation around Paris is easy from here. The nearest metro stations are:
Please note, the Marais is one of Paris' most visited and liveliest neighborhoods. As such, the area around this apartment can be noisy at times.

Excellent location: one block to Temple Metro stop and three blocks to Place de La République, a thriving middle class neighborhood. The central location (3rd Arrondissement) was extremely helpful considering we lived there eight weeks. There is a high security apartment door lock. The locked building entrance door doesn't close automatically, so many times it is left open and unlocked. The building is generally quiet, however on Sundays, the church next door, which shares the inner courtyard, has kids singing, playing, and talking from 10am to 4pm. There are windows overlooking an inner outdoor courtyard on both sides of the apartment; however there is no street view. The apartment is cozy but it has pretty much everything: towels, sheets, pillows, dishes and cookware, laundry machine (does both wash and dry), very comfortable double bed, fairly comfortable (pull-out to double bed) couch, shopping cart for groceries, wooden clothing rack, 2'x4' table, four chairs, television, and telephone. When we moved in, the apartment hadn't been cleaned after the previous 12-month tenant, but I expect that will not happen again, assuming a reliable cleaning person is hired. The owner was very quick to help by email and phone as needed. I would stay there again. |
