With large windows offering clear views of Paris, this furnished two bedroom apartment is a find! This apartment is a typical Parisian apartment, with gorgeous views over the Luxembourg Gardens, and in a perfect location. It is on the sixth and top floor (considered seventh by Americans) of a Haussmannian elevator building with coded system and superintendent.
The apartment has a lot of style and a Parisian feel with the hardwood floors and the decorative fireplace. The windows of the living room and dining room have western exposure and views over the Luxembourg Gardens and the French Senate...if you look hard, you can even make out the Eiffel Tour in the distance! This apartment also features double-glazed windows, as well as a washer/ dryer combo. Amenities of the kitchen include a microwave oven, a fridge with freezer, a dishwasher and four vitro-ceramic hotplates. Wireless Internet service, a TV with DVD player and a stereo are available.
The first bedroom shares the same view as the living and dining rooms, offering a glance of the Luxembourg Garden with the adjacent Senate building. The second bedroom is courtside and exposed north.
The apartment is located on rue de Médicis in the Luxembourg area in Paris (6th arrondissement). Just down the street from the apartment, you will find the Luxembourg Gardens, built in 1612 on request of Marie de Médicis. The area offers lots of restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and fashion boutiques. Within a couple of blocks you are in the Latin Quarter, popular among students because of its high concentration of schools in the neighborhood, such as the Sorbonne University. The St. Germain area is also nearby and is considered quite trendy, and you can check out the iconic statue of St. Michel, not far from the apartment.
The nearest metro station is Odéon, serving lines 4 and 10. The Luxembourg RER B station is about the same distance, making this a convenient option for commuters.
Please note that this apartment is located next to a school, which can create noise at times.

Given the price of the apartment, the furnishings and equipment were not up to par. Although the Landlord's agent eventually provided whatever furnishings and supplies we requested, the kitchen was not adequately equipped for guests living in the apartment for an extended period. Nor was the kitchen designed practically for normal use. Much of the furniture was poor quality and rather flimsy, some of it being completely nonfunctional, such as the large box-shaped piece in the bedroom instead of a proper dresser. Storage space was inadequate,, partly due to the owner's use of cabinets, as well as broken kitchen appliances taking up space. Poor drainage in the shower was a constant problem. The apartment was very hot on sunny days; the curtains were not substantial enough to block the sun, and the fans were inadequate. Upon our arrival, the window sills were full of unseemly dead plants (which we replaced at our own expense). |

Hello, We are sorry about the inconveniences you had in the apartment. Yet its location is exceptional, on the 6th floor, in front of Jardin du Luxembourg. It is mainly decorated with Habitat or Design furnishing brands and with a few "Parisian bohemian style" elements. So it is a matter of taste. |
