Live as the locals do with this fully furnished two bedroom apartment in the Montparnasse area of Paris’s 5th arrondissement. The unit is located on the second floor (considered third by Americans) of a five story building dating from 1850. Please note that while there is an elevator, some stairs are required to access the apartment.
Antique furniture and green-toned walls lend this rental a vintage atmosphere, completed by the herringbone hardwood floors and oriental carpeting. The living room offers lots of space to relax, at the dining table for four, in the multiple armchairs or on the two single daybeds by the cable TV.
The separate kitchen has everything ready for you to start cooking: an oven, fridge, microwave, and more! Bedroom 1 has a queen sized bed and a seat by the French window. Bedroom 2 has a single daybed in an office space with a computer, desk and bookshelves. There is also a washer and dryer available for your convenience.
Positioned between the hip young Latin Quarter and the perennially popular Montparnasse district, the neighborhood around this apartment has something for everyone.
- One of Central Paris’s biggest parks, the Luxembourg Gardens (350m/.2mi), is located just blocks away, offering classic French gardens, water features and a palace, home to the French Senate.
- The area is great for students, with major universities like the École Normale Supérieure, Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II and the Université Paris-Sorbonne within blocks.
- There are lots of places to enjoy a classic French meal in the area. Try out Le Vin Sobre (300m/.2mi) for French wines or Chez Eric et Compagnie (280m/.2mi) for a full menu.
