Typically Haussmanian, this apartment features ancient parquet floors, wall moldings and a decorative fireplace. The apartment has a service entrance to the kitchen, the restroom and the second bedroom. The living room is furnished with a double sofa-bed, offering additional sleeping accomodation, and has a TV with cable and DVD player to keep you entertained. In the kitchen you will find everything you need to cook your meals at home, and you can enjoy then in the separate dining table. Both the living room and dining room have western exposed and double glazed windows overlooking the street, and the two bedrooms have a northern exposure and overlook a courtyard. There is another TV in bedroom 2, and a phone in bedroom 1. This apartment also has the convenience of a washing machine and dryer, so you won't have to spend hours at the laundromat!
This furnished apartment is located on rue Médicis, right across from the Luxembourg gardens in Paris. The Luxembourg gardens and its Palais were built at the beginning of the 17th century, following the reign of Marie de Médicis. Today, the gardens are open to the public, offer various cultural activities and feature many sculptures and fountains, such as the Marie de Médicis fountain.
Since 1799, the Palais du Luxembourg houses the senate. Not far from the apartment is the Saint-Michel neighborhood with its bookstores, its lovely student area, the Quartier Latin close to the famous French university, la Sorbonne. To the other side of the apartment building is Saint-Germain des Prés with its numerous art galleries, restaurants and brasseries, such as the Alcazar or the well-known club Castel.
To get around Paris, you can take the RER B, connecting the city center to the 2 main airports and other important destinations in the city. Alternatively you can take the line 4 and 10 at the Odéon metro station, running south-north and east-west, taking you almost anywhere you need to go!
