Check out this beautiful studio vcation rental apartment found in the Saint Michel neighborhood near the legendary Latin Quarter - Panthéon areas of Paris. Placed on Rue Frederic Sauton between Boulevard Saint Germain and the Seine River, it can be found on the ground floor of a very typical 16th century building, modernized with a digicode system and an elevator. Tenants will enter the studio through a lovely courtyard decorated with flowers and plants.
This vacation rental was renovated in 2011 but remains charming with its stone walls and exposed wooden beams, maintaining the authentic unique look. The living area has a double-sized sofa bed, with an open mezzanine level accessible by a ladder, where you will find a single-sized bed. The mini kitchenette is nestled underneath the mezzanine and will allow you to prepare breakfasts and small lunches with a small refrigerator, an electric burner (hob), a microwave, a coffee maker, an electric kettle and a toaster. The bathroom has a shower, sink and w/c.
A window views the cobblestone courtyard, allowing in the light from the west.
Located on Rue Frederic Sauton between Boulevard Saint Germain and the Seine River, the accommodation is in the very famous Latin Quarter neighborhood of Paris (5th arrondissement). This area offers a multitude of choices for shopping but also for cultural opportunities. There are many restaurants, grocery stores, wine merchants, laundries, bookshops and markets lining the winding streets of this area.
Just 300m (0.2mi) away is the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the premier examples of French Gothic architecture. You can't help but admire the architectural, artistic and of course religious aspects of this world-renowned monument.
After a cultural visit, go for a stroll on the Seine's banks and enjoy the view of Paris, the river and its pretty barges docked along the sides. About 600m (0.4mi) away is the very popular Place Saint Michel, one of the main spots in the Latin District, the symbol of the Rive Gauche in Paris.
Transportation, such as the subway, express trains and bus stops are in the immediate vicinity of the apartment. The Maubert-Mutualité metro stop is only 140 meters away (469ft), with service for line 10. The nearby Saint-Michel Notre-Dame stop serves the RER B and C, for connection to major airports and rail lines (450m/0.3mi). You can also rent a bike for a few hours at the Velib' station which is only 280m (0.2mi) from the apartment.
Please note that it is a ground floor apartment, therefore it can be dark at times.

Excellent location, a 5-minute walk from Notre Dame, St Michel, Latin Quarter, a 100 m from subway, facilities, supermarket and wonderful restaurants with different international cuisine a few meters away, helpful and very friendly host, studio apartment is small but very functional and nicely decorated (sometimes a bit dark but very cool, ideal in the summertime). |

Thank you for your comments Giuseppe, it was a pleasure to host you in Paris. The studio is dark indeed, in spite of a very large window overlooking the courtyard, it's normal for an apartment on the ground floor on an inner courtyard. |

Great apartment, the location is perfect. The bathroom is attached and was not as small as I was expecting. Owner was very helpful about meeting up and giving directions on place to go. |

It was a pleasure to host Audrey and her relatives. Everything went smoothly on my side and I am delighted to hear everything was OK for them, too. |

We loved the accommodation, perfect location, couldn't be more convenient to get around and explore Paris. You can even hear the Notre Dame bells ringing in the background, without it being too bothersome. |

Thank you Ana. Since I am myself a cooking enthusiast, I am aware of the need of a sink for cooking. But as the studio is located in one of the neighborhoods with the greatest number of restaurants and brasseries in Paris, the kitchen corner is there to prepare breakfast and snacks (fridge, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, microwave) but not really suited to people who want to prepare real meals. |

So for the flat, the district is very nice and the owners are lovely people. The only thing is that it is wet because it is in a courtyard and there is no sun coming and that it was not easy to cook but the owner bought for me a micro one so it was better as for me it s important to be able to cook properly..but for tourists it s okay for me, it s different as I always stay 2 weekends I dont feel like eating in restaurants every day.. |

The only drawback to the place is that it is very damp so the mattress and our clothes were often a bit damp. As a result of the moisture, the place could smell a bit stuffy and we were wondering if mould could grow easily. |
Answer by: Paris Customer Service Sep 13 2011 |
The owners contacted us to confirm that they are aware of the potential dampness issue and confirmed it can be avoided by following the advice they give their guest. They will ensure all guests receive the needed information. |

We had a lovely time and the flat was what we expected. The only thing was that we had been told that there was a phone that took incoming calls only, but when we got there it did not work. |

I really enjoyed my stay in Paris at the studio. [The owners] made the place comfortable and it was clean when I arrived. The coffee maker didn't work but I just took that as a sign to go out and experience |

We were both very satisfied with the apartment and with the attention of the landlord. The location was ideal. It was a pleasure awakening to the bells of Notre Dame and the views were beautiful. |

The apartment we stayed in was perfectly fine. My only complaint was that I was not aware that the bathroom was not on the premises, but rather in the courtyard, which made showering in the winter a very "refreshing" experience. Also, the room could have used a more powerful space heater as the apartment, though small, was not very warm. |

The apartment was fine, if a little gloomy, but well located and decent value. Rather a weird arrangement with the loo and shower. The accommodation owner in Paris was very friendly. |

I was happy with the apartment in Paris. It was in an excellent location. The vacation rental was on the ground floor, so no steps to climb. The owner was friendly and helpful. |

Our landlord in Paris was very accommodating in this apartment. He made time to meet us before our departure on short notice. The studio was comfortable for 3 adults. |
