Situated in a pedestrian area of the famous district called “Quartier Latin”, between Boulevard Saint Michel and Rue Saint Jacques.
The apartment is located in a little street five minutes from the lively area of Rue Mouffetard and Eglise Saint Medard, in a very youthful area which offers many cafes and restaurants and a famous market open everyday, as well as numerous shops. The apartment is extremely quiet, as it is on the last floor with only two apartments on each floor. It is overlooking the courtyard.
The “Quartier Latin”, called so because all communication between students and teachers took place in Latin language until the French Revolution, has been the center of Parisian education since the Middle Ages. The Boulevard Saint Michel abounds of diverse shops, crossing the famous Boulevard Saint Germain with its sophisticated fashion shops and selected restaurants about 100m to the south.
The entrance door of the building gives access to a courtyard.
To access the apartment, you have to cross this courtyard.
The apartment is located on the third floor.
You enter the hallway, which gives access to the living room.
The walls are in white and two large windows give lots of light with a view over the courtyard.
There are wooden beams on the ceiling.
The room is decorated with ethnic traditional furniture. It is furnished with a dining table and 4 chairs, a sofa bed (140 x 200), some other furniture (chests, bookshelves ) and carpets on the walls.
The bedroom is up the stairs.
It is located under the roof and furnished with a single mattress on request, a double futon and a closet.
The kitchen can be accessed from the living room and is equipped with a fridge, a washer, a table and a gas burner with its oven.
From the entrance hallway, you can access the bathroom. It is equipped with a bathtub and a washbasin.
You can have extra storage space in the cellar.
The closest Metro station is Censier Daubenton (line 7).

The apartment was lovely and in a wonderful location in a "real" (not touristy) neighborhood [of Paris] -- near to, but tucked away from, restaurants, shops, wonderful bakeries and a farmer's market. The kitchen was well-stocked and the beautiful collection of kilims (rugs) in the living area made for decor that was both fascinating and very homey. It was a perfect spot from which to explore the Latin Quarter and all of Paris. |
