This fully furnished four bedroom/two bathroom duplex Bastide (typical Provencal villa) is located near the French Riviera in Salernes (Var region) near Cotignac and Sillans la Cascade. The property is comprised of two floors and an attic alcove and has a nice swimming pool (salted water system) and landscaped garden. Please note that the swimming pool is closed during winter time.
This four bedroom vacation rental offers views with southern and western exposure onto the terrace and garden, typically planted with olive and laurel trees. You will enjoy the two terraces, one of which is shaded, with high quality patio furniture to allow you to enjoy the lovely weather in the South of France. The villa is tastefully decorated (featuring local terracotta tiles and hardwood floors) and occupies three levels. On the garden level of this vacation rental accommodation, there is the large living area with an open kitchen, half bathroom and washing machine. Upstairs you have the 4 double bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with combination bathtub/shower, and one with shower only). On the top floor there is an attic living space to be used as a reading room or playroom, with a half bathroom.
The property is located near the French Riviera, about 800 meters (half-a-mile) away from the Village of Salernes, the main ceramic fabrication center for the South of France. The medieval city of Fréjus, a popular seaside resort, is only 53 km (33 miles) away. You will find all shops for basic needs in Salernes, as well as a supermarket but it is advisable to have a car to enjoy the area to the maximum! The upper Var region has a lot of natural sites to explore, with plenty of vineyards that make this area of Provence sometimes comparable to Tuscany, Italy. The nearby local towns are Lorgues (well-known for its colourful market) and the nearby village of Cotignac is very typical of Provence and considered as one of the prettiest around. Many outdoor events are organised in the summer, including festivals and markets. The natural regonial park of the Verdon is also nearby.
Situated between Nice (112 km / 70 miles) and Aix en Provence (90 km / 56 miles), the closest airports are Nice, Toulon, Marseilles.
