New York Apartment - Studio in Upper East Side (NY-16196)

With a private backyard garden as big as the apartment, this furnished studio is a great option for those who want to combine their love of the Upper East Side with their love of the outdoors! This apartment is situated on 81st Street & 1st Avenue, on the ground floor of a 5-story walk-up building. There is a buzzer/intercom system for guest entry.

The apartment layout is very open, with the tiled kitchen transitioning to the hardwood floor living area. The bathroom is near the entrance. The kitchen is equipped for cooking full meals, with a gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave and even a dishwasher to ease the clean-up! There is a small table that provides prep space and room for dining. From the riverfront, you can admire the Brooklyn and Queens skyline, or relax in the Carl Schurz Park, home to Gracie Mansion (the official residence of the Mayor of NYC).

Heading west, you will run into NYC's famous "Museum Mile" on 5th Avenue, as well as the iconic Central Park! Your visitors will delight at the proximity to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, just .7mi/1.1km from the apartment (a nearby bus also will take you if you don't enjoy walking).

Buses (including express buses) also run north up 1st Avenue and south down 2nd Avenue to reach upper and lower Manhattan. The nearest subway stop is at 77 Street / Lexington Avenue, which gives access to the local 6 train (1/2mi or 850m).
