Have a real New York experience in this fully furnished studio apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side at East 77th Street and 1st Avenue. Located on the fourth floor of four (third of three in the European numbering system), the 329 sqft (30.56 sqm) apartment is in an early 20th century low-rise building with no elevator protected by a security system at the exterior door.
You’ll appreciate the large main room of the studio apartment, whose hardwood floors add some charm to the space. Two windows at the far end of the accommodation next to the double bed face the backyard (North). A leather sofa and a flat-screen television (with cable) compose the living area.
The adjacent open kitchen is compact yet convenient, with a full-sized refrigerator and freezer, a sink, cabinet space, a gas stove and an oven. A dining table with three chairs provides space to eat, do work or read. The bathroom is located next to the hall closet and the door, with a window for ventilation and old-school black and white tiling.
One of the most famous and infamous neighborhoods of New York City the Upper East Side is a symbol as much as a place. You get the best of both worlds with this apartment, located on the border between the UES with its upscale bar-restaurants and the toned-down character of neighboring Yorkville, long a German and Hungarian neighborhood and now popular with young families. Here are some of the great spots in this eclectic mix: Bar-Coastal at 78th St and 1st Ave, The Pony Bar at 75th St and 1st Ave, and V-Note for wine and vegan cuisine at 79th St and 1st Ave.
The UES is also known for its parks, some of the gems of the city. Head across the cable car at 59th Street to Roosevelt Island and enjoy the sea breeze and the peace and quiet. Or head up to Carl Schurz Park and try to get a glimpse of the Mayor in his official residence at 87th Street and the East River. If you’re just looking to relax with a book, stroll over to John Jay Park for views of Queens and Brooklyn (.1 miles/260 meters).
The rest of New York City is at your fingertips with the NYC Subway. The nearest subway station is at 72nd Street / 2nd Avenue (0.5mi/750m) for the Q line train along the Upper East Side. Another options is at 77th Street / Lexington Avenue (.4 miles/700 meters) for the 6 train.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay. A new powerful wifi router has been installed to improve the wifi connection which is now excellent. The TV has an amplified antenna that allows to watch the main channels for free. The cable TV is not included but our tenants are always free to subscribe. Best, Alan |
