Make the most of valuable NYC floor space in this 340 sq ft (32 sqm) studio apartment. This fully furnished accommodation, complete with an intercom system at the exterior door, is located on the third floor (considered 2nd in Europe) of a three story walk-up brownstone near the intersection of Manhattan Avenue and West 121 Street in the Harlem neighborhood of Upper Manhattan.
The main room of the studio apartment is marked by hardwood floors and bright, colorful walls and curtains. A queen sized bed provides the perfect place to relax by your flat screen TV after a long day of exploring New York. A dresser and a closet give you lots of storage space!
A small glass dining table provides the perfect place to enjoy the home-cooked meals you can prepare in your open kitchen. All necessary appliances, including an oven and gas stove, are already here.
You’ll love having Morningside Park (.1mi/180m) right down the street, offering dramatic views of Upper Manhattan and the outer boroughs. On the far side of the park, Columbia University (.4mi/700m) offers cultural events, academic resources, cute student cafés, and hip bars.
On your side of the Park, Harlem offers some of New York’s best culture, nightlife, and cuisine. At least one open mic night at the Apollo Theater (.3mi/500m) is a must for any new resident of the neighborhood. Experience some local culture at old-school spots like Billie’s Black (soul food and live music; .2mi/400m) or treat yourself at Maison Harlem (French cuisine; .3mi/450m).
The rest of New York City is easily accessible by taking the Subway. Your nearby stations are:

Apartment was great, with the exception of the fact that the air conditioning unit was nowhere to be found, until two weeks in, in 90 degree weather. It is then taken away because it needs constant supervision (dumping the water from the condensation), and the new window unit only comes with 5 days to spare. Location was great, but has very bad acoustics. I can hear everything the next door neighbor is doing, and vice versa. I can also hear everything outside, but that's to be expected. But, would definitely rent again. Also, the distance to a laundromat. |

The landlady was very welcoming. I had everything I needed for my stay away from home (oil, varied spices, kitchen equipment and even an umbrella!). |
