Enjoy the modest neighborhood street corners and unpretentious air of Ridgewood, Queens, from this alcove studio apartment rental. Situated on the second floor (first floor for Europeans) of a two story walk-up, this furnished apartment is located on 60th Street and 70th Avenue.
Upon entering the living room, you will notice the bright white walls and large windows opening the room with natural light. There are hardwood floors, a leather sofa, a television, dining table with seating for two, and an air conditioning unit do keep you comfortable during the notoriously warm NYC summer months. Double sliding doors lead into your sleeping alcove, which has a queen-sized bed with fresh clean sheets, and a portable clothing rack. The kitchen is compact and fully functional, with an oven, fridge/freezer, coffeemaker, and toaster. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, towels, and W/C.
Ridgewood, Queens is known for its brick and stone two-story buildings, giving it more of a “Brooklyn” look than classic Queens. With an ideal location less than 45 minutes from Manhattan, and bordering the popular Brooklyn neighborhoods of Williamsburg and Bushwick, this quiet and homey working-class neighborhood has been voted as New York City’s next “It” neighborhood. Notorious NYC chefs Jimmy and Jacky Tu shocked everyone when they took their most recent restaurant endeavor to Ridgewood, creating buzz around the city. Bun-ker (1.5 mi/2.4 km) is the result; it is a no-frills Vietnamese restaurant serving eager NYC foodies banh-mi entrees with thoughtfully sourced meats, and a fun and delicious atmosphere. Joseph F. Mafera Park (0.7 mi) is a community park offering visitors access to baseball fields, basketball and handball courts, roller hockey, and a playground. Retro Fitness (0.6 mi/1.0 km) is right down the street, making exercise in New York easily accessible.
The Forest Avenue/67 Avenue subway station (0.4 mi/643 m) connects you the M line, taking passengers directly into Manhattan.

Owners were great to work with, very responsive and accomodating. Great space, tons of natural light, nice wood floors, only 3 units in the building so low traffic. Nice separate bedroom with tons of shelving/storage/clothes rack provided. Amazing location, beautiful queens neighborhood. Awesome neighborhood bar next door, tons of coffee spots and grocery stores <5 min walk. Only downside to this space is the kitchen; sink is too small to wash anything other than a small plate and there's no flat area to do food prep. Oven, Range, Microwave, and Fridge are fine. If the Kitchen was invested in a little bit (proper counters, full size sink, cabinets, etc) this would be a perfect studio space. |
