This studio apartment is in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan! Located on the fourth floor (equivalent to the third floor in Europe) of a four-floor building on 104th Street and 2nd Avenue, this furnished apartment has hardwood flooring and contemporary furnishings. Additionally, there is a laundry room in the building!
The living area has a queen-sized bed, dining table, television, and sofa that pulls out into a double-sized bed. A breakfast bar separates the living area from the kitchen, which is equipped with all stainless-steel appliances and white cabinetry. Here, you will find a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and toaster. Finally, the bathroom is complete with granite-like flooring that continues up the walls of the shower stall. There are several closets throughout the apartment to store all your belongings!
Despite its name, East Harlem is traditionally not considered to be a part of Harlem proper. Instead, the neighborhood is known for its great contributions to latin music and culture of New York City. That being said, this apartment is surrounded by dozens of local restaurants representing a variety of authentic cuisines. The well-reviewed Ricardo Steakhouse is 0.5 miles (0.8 km) away and offers a great fusion of latin dishes and traditional steakhouse offerings. There’s a handful of local supermarkets, like Cherry Valley Marketplace, within 0.2 miles (320 m) of the apartment. Alternatively, there is a Costco Wholesale 1 mile (1.6 km) north on 117th Street. You’ll also be near some classic New York attractions, like Central Park and the Museum of the City of New York, which are both 0.6 miles (1 km) away and would give you a chance to learn more about the history of the city!
Finally, the 103 Street - Lexington Avenue subway station is a 0.4 mile (650 m) walk, granting access to the 6 train and thereby the rest of the city.
