The fully-furnished NYC home spans approximately 330sqft (30.6sqm) and is highlighted by prewar qualities such as hardwood floors and high ceilings. The space is well-lit and offers two windows that face a backyard, brightening the home with midday sun and assuring a calm environment. Modern amenities include a laundry washer/dryer, flat-screen television with cable television and DVD player, a long grey futon (double) in the living room and a double bed in the bedroom. The kitchen is open to the hallway and includes stainless steel appliances. Cabinetry and closet space throughout the home is provided. In the bathroom, a nicely-sized shower with sliding glass doors awaits you.
This apartment in the Upper East Side, known as the most elite neighborhood of Manhattan, is just a short walk from Central Park (0.3mi/400m) to the West and the East River to the East (Peter Detmold Park, 1mi/1.5km). This apartment was one of the best located apartments I could ask for close to all major subway routes, within walking distance of Central Park and some of New York's finest museums. It overlooks a courtyard with a beautiful tree and lots of greenery in the summer, and while sirens were seldom heard, the hum of aircons cannot be avoided. The kitchen is well equipped and the wifi is super fast making connectivity awesome including for watching online movie platforms such as Netflix and TribecaShortlist. The building is very quiet and very well maintained. The landlady is a delight, always smiling, accommodating and hospitable in every way possible. This apartment became my home away from home for the 8 months that I was in New York and I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a place to rent. |
