Located in a historic and recently restored prewar building, this furnished one bedroom apartment at 33rd Street and Broadway in Queens’ popular Astoria neighborhood is a great choice for your time in New York City. The building features a security system and your apartment is on the first floor of a walk-up building.
You’ll find that the living room is a great place to relax after a busy day in the city. The three windows bathe the apartment in light and are the perfect complement to the hardwood floors that dominate the space. Your sofa folds out into a double bed for weekend guests, and a television is also provided. Complimentary wireless internet access is available throughout the building. The kitchen and bathroom are just off the main living area. The bathroom has a window in addition to the expected shower, sink, and WC. The kitchen has plenty of cabinets for storage and counter space for food preparation in addition to all the appliances and equipment that you need to cook, such as a microwave and coffee maker. The bedroom is distinguished by two more windows and a queen sized bed, and it also has great storage options, with a dresser and walk-in closet.
Astoria, Queens, is one of New York’s most diverse residential neighborhoods. Traditionally home to many Greeks and Eastern Europeans, the area is also experiencing an influx of young people, with great nightlife complementing the excellent restaurants and eclectic mix of shops. There are several grocery stores to choose from nearby, both on 34th Avenue and Broadway. When it’s time to do laundry, a quick walk to Broadway will reveal a couple of options about a block from your apartment.
Your one bedroom is close to an impressive selection of transit options. The N and Q trains at 36 Avenue / 31 Street are perhaps the closest and provide quick access to Midtown Manhattan and beyond, and the Broadway / 31 Street stop on the same line are also within walking distance. Another option is the Steinway Street / Broadway stop which features the M and R trains.

The apartment had everything that I needed. I only bought a couple things. It is great for those who aren't ready to furnish an entire place on their own. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at [the rental apartment] in Astoria; we found Astoria to be a very safe and interesting area to live especially as newcomers to NYC we felt safe and comfortable - the rail links into Manhattan were excellent! |

I was very pleased with the apartment I rented. It was clean and, largely, as described. |
