This room for rent on 150th Street and Edgecombe Avenue in Manhattan’s Hamilton Heights neighborhood is the ideal apartment share for your time in New York City. One of Upper Manhattan’s most historic neighborhoods, this part of Harlem is well-known for hosting George Washington’s headquarters in the Morris Jumel Mansion, just blocks to the north.
Your pre-war building has all the amenities that you need to make your NYC visit a success, including a buzzer and intercom system for security. The three bedroom apartment share is on the third floor of an elevator building (considered the second floor by Europeans), and laundry machines are provided for the duration of your stay. The room for rent is great for working at home as the room has a desk in addition to a double bed. Your space also features ample storage with two dressers and a closet provided. Wireless internet is also available.
The kitchen and bathroom with full bathtub and shower are both shared with your roommates. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, such as a gas stove, refrigerator and microwave, as well as all the necessary cooking dishes and utensils. It also offers a dining table with 2 chairs. There is also a half bathroom. Please note that there is no living room access.
Some of the area’s best dining can be found a block away on St. Nicholas Avenue, where you’ll also find a pharmacy and grocery store. Jackie Robinson Park is just down the street from your three bedroom apartment, and this is a great place to enjoy an afternoon outdoors. The park offers a variety of recreational facilities including a gymnasium, fitness rooms, and basketball courts.
The area has a good selection of public transportation options. In addition to buses, there are two subway stops a short distance away, the A, B, C, and D stop at 145th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue and the 148th Street and 7th Avenue stop on the 3 train. The A, B, D trains are all express trains and will get you quickly around New York with fast service to downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn with a minimum number of stops.

Nora's apartment was the perfect place for my needs. The rent is very reasonable for being in Manhattan, and it is only a couple blocks from the A,C,B,and D lines. Nora is very pleasant and helpful with anything that you need, but she also gives you your space. Since I was here during the summer and there is no A/C in the apartment I had to have the windows open with screens, which made it a little noisy at night depending on what people were doing outside. I would definitely stay with Nora again if I were to spend a considerable amount of time in NYC. |

Rayna, Thank you so much for your kind words, your frank observations and for taking the time to add them in a review. It was a pleasure to have you here. Yes, the noise in the summer can be a challenge in NYC. I take every measure I can to combat it, but alas I may have to resort to AC after all. The room can be so pleasant with the three windows open and the ceiling fan to ventilate even though you did have to add a fan, but I will certainly consider an AC going forward. |

I highly enjoyed my stay at this apartment. The landlord was very kind and very helpful everytime. If you have any question or concern, don't hesitate to ask her. The neighborhood and the street is nice and quiet and there's a park in front of the building. Also is well located, near the subway station, grocery store and delis. Regarding safety, I never had any problem coming back even late at nights. |

It was a great experience to live at this place. The landlord is very, very nice and polite. The room is comfortable and cozy, especially with the trees in front of the window. You feel like your living with the birds in the treetrops. The neighbors in the building are also very friendly and nice. The place is really well located. There are 4 lines right around the corner at the 145station. I highly recommend this place! |

I really enjoyed my stay in this apartment! The apartment was very clean, my room was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary essentials. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating. The apartment was very close to a subway station (less than a five minute walk), so it was easy to get anywhere in the city. There was also a grocery store and a laundromat in the neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this apartment to others. |

I had a great experience in this apartment. The owner was nice and attentive at all times and there's everything you need nearby. Although I was sharing the apartment with others, I never lacked privacy. |

The apartment location is brilliant. The subway is only minutes away and there is an express train to downtown. You also get quite quickly to Times Square and other places of interest. There is even a laundry (24/7) nearby (about 200m) where you can do you washing comfortably (washing machine and dryer). I didn't try the washing machines in the building, I didn't find them very appealing. |

Thank you for your kind words Nora. I do appreciate them. I am so glad my abode was a good part of your NYC experience. I know I was not here for most of your stay as I was away working, but I was glad to have met your needs and return in time to share some wine and talk. |

The apartment I had was pleasant because it was very big and even though the apartment was not the best located (far from the center), it was convenient for the subway. |
