This is a model room. It reflects both the quality and the style of the rooms we offer at this location. The individual rooms are a variation of this one with some differences in layout and exposure.
The room to rent is situated on Broadway and 99th Street, Upper West Side in New York, within a 7-floor building which has an elevator. It also has the following amenities: A laundry room in the basement, which is coin-operated as well as a reception area at the entrance where someone is on duty 24 hours a day.
The room is furnished with a single bed and a smart TV. The room is also outfitted with a mini refrigerator, an air-conditioning unit, a desk with chair and internet access.
The bathroom is ensuite but the kitchen is shared. The full kitchen on each floor makes the experience friendly by sharing it with the occupants of 17 rooms. There are no kitchen supplies provided either, but utensils, pots, pans and other kitchen necessities can be purchased in many different stores such as Gristede’s or the Associated Supermarket.
Situated in Manhattan on the Upper West Side, a short walk away from Central Park, it is the biggest public park of NYC. You can have many activities there from bird watching, to boating on the pond, or even participating in races. Central Park has also seasonal events you should include in your schedule such as concerts and art exhibitions. For nightlife, many bars and cafes are located a few blocks from the premises where you can enjoy an array of different vibes from dive bars like Abbey Pub to jazz clubs like SMOKE. If you wish to travel around, the red line (1, 2, 3 trains) is three blocks away at 96th Street station.
Please note that this furnished unit offers apartment-style accommodations with a communal kitchen environment. The occupant should not expect to have the same experience as a regular rental in a New York City residential apartment. It is also important to note that depending on the room's placement within the building, some traffic noise from Broadway may travel into the unit. Since the kitchen and bathroom are common, the cleanliness might depend on the other tenant use.

It's good for the money. Weekly room cleaning is nice. Bathrooms are clean. Kitchen is rarely used. One complaint is the heat, too hot for me. |

The only problem was that I couldn't visit the room before moving in, and on the pictures the bedroom looked much bigger than it actually is. |

Everything was perfect. Just the Air conditioner in my room was not working, but as when I was there was spring, there were no problems. That's why I didn't need to complain about it. I'm sure if I had said something the people woul have helped me! |

Actually it was not an apartment, but a room in a big building much more similar to an hostel that an apartment: 17 rooms on the floor (3 restroom + 1 very little kitchen). |

Each floor in this building has 17 rooms. 4 of these rooms on each floor have private bathrooms. The other 13 rooms share the 3 bathrooms on the floor. There is 1 kitchen on each floor shared by all 17 rooms for cooking; each room has its own refrigerator. |

INTERNET WAS HORRIBLE. an absolute deal-breaker in terms of staying for any additional months. At almost any hour of day or night except for 3am-6am, too many people were on the network and I could barely even load Google. It was as if the entire building was sharing one person's DSL connection. Seriously. |

Further to this review, we contacted the owner of this apartment who has since updated the internet service to improve the quality and speed of the connection. |
