New York Room For Rent - 6 Bedroom apartment for a roommate in Sunset Park, Brooklyn (NY-7570)

I enjoyed very much staying there The landlord was very friendly and helpful. A laundromat is in the same street, only a few yards to walk. This is very convenient. Also the subway station is very close. Everything was positive, I enjoyed very much staying there.

Maybe the kitchen should be having some repairs but the situation is livable, and even though this minor things, it's fully equiped and definitely usable.

Overall was a great stay! The location was really good with having some restaurants, grocery, laundry, and train access all within a block. The cleanliness of the apartment was pretty good. The building itself was decent. The room I stayed in was on the entry level, and was a very decent size. However, the kitchen is on the 2nd floor. I am one that likes to cook. and I was a little disappointed with the kitchen situation. The gas stove/range is outdated: almost every time I wanted to cook, I would have to relight the pilot lights, and the one for the stove was not the easiest to get to. They have it set up for 6 individuals sharing one kitchen, with having mini-fridges in the rooms for individual use. The mini definitely helped alleviate some difficulties with cold food storage since the kitchen fridge was almost always full with others. Just wish I had more freezer space. I am graduate student, and stayed for 4 months. Overall, was decent and I would definitely recommend this place for short term stays.

The landlord was very kind but not intrusive. He was helpful when I needed him, even just for advice. The building is old, made of wood, perishable. The room was good, with new hard-floor and TV, which conveys modernity. I had all I needed. It was exactly as in the photo. There is one bathroom in each floor, so you have to share it with another person. The kitchen had everything I needed, though it was shared by all 5 tenants, didn't appear in great condition and sometimes mice managed to sneak in. But it was quiet, well heated, with Wi-Fi and excellent roommates. The location was also great, close to the train stop, in a quiet neighborhood with a lot of restaurants, shops of any kind, laundry-mats, and a park. Overall I had a great feeling (obviously, if you are trying to save money you won't find a luxurious place). I would stay here again.

I wanna go back lol. This was my first experience living on my own away from my parents and relatives. I cherish every moment I had there and I wish I could go back

Excellent apartment in Sunset Park. I stayed here 3 months and I'm happy I chose this apartment. The roommates were kind and they didn't make noise. The owner and his family are great people and are always available to help. The location is perfect. Just around the corner from the subway station, you can reach Lower Manhattan in 30 minutes, and a few more minutes to go to Midtown. Sunset Park is a quiet area with many restaurants. A cleaning service would be very useful (even if we have to pay for it), because otherwise, roommates have to do the cleaning of the apartment.

Excellent value. Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Close to park. Landlord helpful and pleasant which is an added bonus. Place was clean and had all the necessary amenities. Highly recommended.

Cool neighborhood - fairly easy trek to the city with lots of good Mexican and Chinese food within a 5-minute walking distance. Cool housemates, and the land lord is super chill. Space is a little tight, but for the money it's a pretty sweet deal.

The house is conveniently located near the subway, a laundromat, a grocery store, a pharmacy, & restaurants. The neighborhood is very safe, so is the house/room. The room was clean & as pictured, with good A/C and heat. The landlord was very nice & available but not intrusive at all. The housemates were also nice. I really enjoyed my stay here!

I stayed in this house for 4 months during my study abroad. Sunset Park is a great and safe neighbourhood to live in. The house is clean and quiet. The landlord is the best you can wish for, if you need anything just tell him.

This is a sweet and cozy little house, maintained by an awesome family who throw a helluva July 4th backyard get-together.

The family was great. The room was spacious and clean. Despite the large amount of people living in the house, it was very quiet. Highly recommended.

Really I loved them and loved all the roommates in the building , all of them respective people ,they respect the privacy of anyone . They are more helpful and quite . It's very convenient to be able to come and go easily. Everyone in the apartment keeps to themselves, but one downside is that the only common area is a small kitchen. The landlord however is very nice.

I loved spending a month in this apartment; the neighborhood is nice and lively. Access to Manhattan is easy (although you will need 30 to 45 minutes to get to the center) thanks to the subway nearby.
The apartment is quiet, all the roommates are very nice and the owner is very helpful.
The only downside would be the apartment and its amenities which are quite worn and sometimes not very clean, but all in all it's ok.
I would definitely stay there again!

The kitchen is quite old and would need revamping.
Location far from Manhattan, 45 min (one-way), I don't recommend it for short stays.
You can hear some noise from the highway.
The dog barks when the owner is not in during the day.

Good location, the landlord was excellent. A/C was a bit faulty and a small bug issue in the building. Overall, a good deal and again, the landlord was easy to work with and very helpful/welcoming.

I stayed in Eddy's apartment for 6 months and everything was perfect! I highly recommend this accommodation. The value for money is unrivaled. Eddy and the roommates are very friendly.
The only little downside would be the apartment location, it is 35 min. away from the center of Manhattan and Brooklyn's hip places. However, these places can easily be reached with the subway, Sunset Park is very well served thanks to lines N and R!!

Regarding Sunset Park, I can only recommend this area of Brooklyn, the atmosphere is soothing and the people very welcoming! The main street next to the apartment is always sunny :)

The owner was very friendly and hospitable, he even helped me with the organization when I arrived.
The bedroom and the bathroom were clean but maybe I would have preferred something more modern.

I've had a great time in this apartment. It's in a very good neighborhood and the owner and roommates are great people.

I really enjoyed being there and would always stay there again if I'd come to NYC again.

Very nice roommates, of different nationalities. The host and his family are very warm, open and welcoming people.

Eddy was a great guy. He was always there when i needed him. I would definitely consider renting there again.

The roommates were friendly and quiet. The owner was very kind and helpful. The kitchen is in need of renovation, which the owner will be taking care of in the coming weeks. The rooms are clean and there aren't any bugs like cockroaches that aren't so rare in New York.

There is a dog that lives in a room with the renters and that often barks when you run down the stairs. But the barking wasn't too disturbing.

The owners are friendly and attentive to your needs, they also keep to themselves and are nonintrusive. For the most part, the building is kept clean, however it is very old and a bit dilapidated.

The kitchen is a shared space for the tenants, so its cleanliness depends on the tenants using it. Sadly, because of this, I could rarely bring myself to cook in it. The building is conveniently located close to a subway line, grocery stores, laundromats, and churches.
