The unit is on the 12th floor (considered 11th by Europeans) of a pre-war elevator building with a full-time doorman, a garden, and on-site laundry facilities. The air-conditioned apartment features hardwood floors and large windows with southern exposure, as well as high ceilings that make it feel more spacious.
The 170-sq ft (16 m²) room for rent features a private attached bathroom; the bedroom has two windows that overlook the street below and offer views of Broadway. Air conditioning is available. If you head south on Broadway, you’ll reach the Lincoln Center (0.8 miles), home of the Metropolitan Opera, the NYC Ballet, and the NY Philharmonic Orchestra, among other performing arts companies. Once you’re there, walk over to the New York Public Library, right next door. Go half a mile (800 meters) further south and enjoy shopping at Columbus Circle or visiting the famous Time Warner Center.
The mass transit system is a great way to get around. So walk to the closest subway station, 79 Street / Broadway (2 blocks), and can catch the 1 train that can take you further uptown or downtown.
