Description
Studio Apartment in Saint Michel, Latin Quarter - Panthéon (PA-2640)
Studio, 1 Bathroom - Sleeps 3

Welcome to this Paris studio apartment in Saint Michel! Eclectically furnished and featuring a mezzanine, this charming home is in the city’s 5th arrondissement near the Latin Quarter and Pantheon.

The studio apartment is located on Quai de la Tournelle between rue des Bernardins and rue du Cardinal Lemoine. It sits on the 1st floor (considered 2nd in U.S.) of a six-story A.G. elevator building facing the Seine River! A coded security system and intercom assure privacy and easy guest entry. For your convenience, a private laundry washer/dryer is included.

In the main living area of the apartment, two convenient sleeping spaces (one foldable full-sized sofa bed and one single-sized mattress atop a mezzanine) take up a minimum of the room’s capacity, allowing commodious floor space. Here, hard wood floors and modern furniture scatter the space, including a flat-screen cable television and a small dining table for two. One large window ventilates the room and faces a garden.

It is important to note that you should be able to climb up and down a ladder to access the mezzanine.

A small kitchen area presents tiled floors and grey tiled backsplash. Cabinets accommodate item storage. Most basic cooking appliances are available, including a dishwasher for convenience. The bathroom includes a shower and fresh towels.

A major tourist destination, Paris’s romantic 5th arrondissement offers an array of famous attractions, gorgeous greenery, and historic architecture. Saint Michel in particular is beloved for its cobblestone streets and art house cinemas! While you’re here, be sure to get a coffee at the famous Café de Flore or Les Deux Magots, known for being popular hangout spots of existentialist intellects and writers. This was a great apartment and it's location is great. It's near a couple of popular metro stations and near the Notre Dame too. It was very clean and had a pull-out coach that was great when I had friends visit. The kitchen was great and was able to cook many meals. Near this great boulanger as well. I loved this place!

Apartment location is just perfect, directly on the quai next to the Seine and just on the backside of the Notre Dame but not too close to where it can be very touristy. Landlord was accommodating, honest, reliable and very easy to work with. Loved that there was a washer/dryer and oven in the unit. And there wasn't a microwave when I first moved in so the landlord brought me one.

Would love to see the shower leak get fixed. Other then this no complaints. The apartment is clean and faces a very quiet and small courtyard.

Really cannot beat the location for this price. Both scenic and convenient! Owner was always prompt with communication and everything was just as agreed upon.

The apartment was very well equipped, clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. We had everything we needed available, including washer / dryer, oven, hob, dishwasher and even a vacuum cleaner. The apartment is located in a very quiet neighborhood. You can't hear any traffic - neighbors can sometimes be heard but that's part of living in Paris! The apartment is ideally located, close to Notre-Dame, near the Seine river. The building is very clean and even has an elevator. The owners are very nice people, always ready to help and honest. It was a real pleasure. The only minor drawbacks were that the TV was not working and there was no network coverage in the apartment. We spent a month in this apartment (couple with a baby) and we had a wonderful time. Great value for money! I can only recommend this apartment, we will definitely come back if we can!

You can't see the sky from the apartment. It's in an interior courtyard and all you can see are the surrounding buildings. Meaning, you have to go outside to see what the weather is like.

The size and equipments, kitchenette, bathroom, shower stall are ok. The shower stall is very small but works. The washing machine works well, but it's a bummer that you still have to haul your clothes to the laundromat to dry them.

There is no comfortable place to sit. The fold-out couch, which is the bed is impossible to fold up again once you've converted it to a bed. So all you have are two incredibly uncomfortable dining chairs. The bed on top of the bath is ok, but having to climb up and down a ladder is unworkable if you're older than 12.
TV works fine, the phone is ok, cell phones do not work in the apartment, a real inconvenience. Wi-fi works perfectly.

There's a "soft" spot in the wood floor that has protruding nails and splinters. Jean-Luc, the owner is going to do the place over and says he'll get that fixed as well as having the apartment painted, which it needs badly. It looks shabby because of water problems involving the apartment above.

Jean-Luc and his daughter are both very nice and easy to work with, but the apartment needs work. The price--as the apartment is now--is high.

Per is right and pointed out how our apartment is in need of proper refurbishment following the leaks we had from the upstairs apartment.

In September, total revamp!

Big comfortable chairs will be there for you and the walls and flooring will be redone. Also, there will be a new bed and the bathroom will be renovated.
As of october, you will be able to enjoy a brand new studio steps away from the River Seine and from Notre Dame.
