If a central location is key for your stay in Paris, then it doesn’t get much better than this 23sqm (247sqft) alcove studio located on the Ile de la Cite. Perched on the top floor (7th European/8th American) of a 19th century building, this furnished apartment sits right next door to the renowned Cathedral Notre Dame.
Take the elevator to the top floor to find this cozy nest awaiting you. Wooden floors and white walls make this studio feel spacious and open, while the red and brown furnishings create warmth and make the space feel comfy. Walk down the narrow hallway and find the eat-in-kitchen and sleeping area on your left. The bed is tucked under a slanted ceiling creating the perfect alcove for snoozing. Meanwhile, on the right, you’ll find the living area with plenty of seating for lounging around when you don’t feel like leaving this ivory tower.
Located in the 4th arrondissement, which encompasses many great Parisian boroughs including Ile de la Cite and Le Marais, this neighborhood’s romantic atmosphere will ensnare you from the grand cathedral and the Palace of Justice (700m/.43mi) to the enchanting gardens, and riverboats floating down the Seine. Bring your camera to capture authentic Paris during the Marche aux Fleurs (Flower Market) and on Sundays, the Marche aux Oiseaux (Bird Market). Paris street markets represent longtime French culture and tradition. These markets take place every week on the Ile de la Cite, attributing to the island’s old-world allure.
Walk one of the historic stone bridges north of the Seine, and find the Rue de Rivoli (1.4km/.86mi) running bountiful with some of the world’s most fashionable shops. Also off the Rue de Rivoli is Hôtel De Ville, one of the oldest, most immaculate mansions in Paris and la Tour Saint-Jacques, an incredible piece of architecture left from the 16th century.
While there is plenty to discover on foot in Ile de la Cite, the metro stop Cité (550m/.34m [line 4]) provides public transportation off the island.
*Please note that the toilet is electric: Due to the European plumbing system in the building, the water closet cannot handle any items other than toilet paper. All other objects no matter how small (i.e., Q-tips, paper, hair, etc.) will clog up the drainage system.*

I loved this apartment. The location is unbeatable, right across from Notre Dame, in the center of medieval Paris (the Marais and the Latin Quarter, with their winding cobblestone streets and ancient buildings). The Seine is just down the street, and musicians play for tips on the bridges nearby every day in good weather. |

Wonderful experience! Located in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral, this beautiful apartment is the best choice in order to work, live and visit Paris. Madame Marie France is always ready to make even more comfortable a stay that - no doubt - will be remarkable. |

This is a wonderful apartment. While compact, it does not lack for amenities, and it is very comfortable. The owner was very accessible and easy to work with, and she checked in with me during my stay to make sure that everything was working well. The location is terrific - right in the center of the city, with easy access to public transportation. The central location did mean that there was a little bit of street noise, but since the large window in the apartment faces onto a courtyard, the noise level was not bad at all. Overall, this was a great apartment, and I strongly recommend it. |

Elizabeth, thank you for your review of the apartment! I am very happy to hear you liked it and felt you were "at home"!! It is always my priority: to ensure everything runs smoothly and that no problem comes up to trouble anyone's stay!! I am sorry there was some noise! Since it overlooks the courtyard, it is quiet indeed! Yet maybe, when the weather's beautiful and all the windows are open, you can still hear some noise! |

I loved this apartment. If I could have stayed permanently, I would have! It was comfortable, quiet, well-appointed, accommodated visitors well and was perfect for one person. No shortage of good things to say about this place. The landlady was also wonderful to work with. I highly recommend renting here. |
