Neighborhood:

This apartment is located in Port Royal, a very attractive and historic area of Paris, near the rue Mouffetard, one of the oldest streets in the city. The neighborhood boasts the well-known Mouffetard’s open-air market, many restaurants and cafes. Not far from the apartment is one of the most famous monuments in the world, the Pantheon, originally built as a church but which has become the national memorial and burial place of France’s great men. The green expanses and pools of the Jardin du Luxembourg soften the intense urbaneness of the area.

It is also located very close to the Arenes de Lutece, the Roman arena of the ancient city where circus games took place in the past, and also of a theater that currently functions as an amphitheater. It is a five-minute walk to the Museum of Natural History with its numerous gardens and animals, and the Mosque de Paris. The area abounds with restaurants, pubs, cinemas, and all sorts of services.

Premises:

This two-bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor of a building dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. A coded security system protects the main entrance gate, which opens onto a paved corridor. On the right a glass door gives access to the building and to the narrow elevator.

Layout:

The entrance door opens into a corridor leading to the living room straight ahead. The master bedroom is accessible through it and an opening gives access to a hallway. This hallway links the second bedroom, the separate kitchen and the bathroom. The separate toilet is accessible by the corridor at the entrance.

The living room has two windows overlooking the courtyard and offering a nice view of Basilique Val de Grâce; it has a western exposure. The room is decorated with an antique flair and has a parquet floor. It is furnished with a sofa, a coffee table, two armchairs, a desk, a phone, a computer connected to the Internet, shelves and a decorative fireplace.

The master bedroom has one window with the same exposure as the living room. It is also decorated in the same style and has a parquet floor. The room is furnished with a double-size bed, two bedside tables, an armchair, a chest of drawers and a closet.

The second bedroom has one window overlooking the street with an eastern exposure. It is decorated in a contemporary style and has a parquet floor. It is furnished with two single beds (with the possibility of turning them into a king size bed), a cable TV, a chest of drawers and shelves.

The separate eat-in kitchen is quite large for a Parisian apartment. It stylish in a contemporary way and has two windows. It is equipped with four gas burners, an oven, a microwave/grill, a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a wooden table with chairs.

The tiled bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, a washbasin, and a bidet.

The toilet is separate.

The nearest metro station is Censier Daubenton (line 7).

Bus 27 to Notre Dame, Louvre, Opera Garnier, the Grands Magasins and Bus 83 to Luxembourg Gardens, St. Germain, Bon Marche, Musee d'Orsay, Grand Palais have a stop next to the apartment.

Heat and hot water use gas and are individually metered.
