This 20m² (approx. 215 sqf) studio is located on the first floor (2nd floor for Americans) of a 19th century, renovated walk-up building. The hall is protected by a security system and the main entrance gate leads to the apartment staircase. There is bike storage on the street.
The main room has a double French window (double-glazed) with curtains overlooking the street. It has wall-to-wall carpeting. The room is furnished with a double-size bed, a dining table with two chairs and a cable TV. There is also a closet for storage and more shelves above the desk. The tiled kitchen is equipped with two electric burners, a kettle, a coffee maker, a toaster, an oven, a refrigerator and a dining table. The bathroom is tiled and has a sliding door. It contains a shower with a showerhead, a washbasin topped by a mirror, a towel dryer and a toilette.
An Internet connection is available.
This furnished apartment is located on a picturesque pedestrian street between Cour Damoye and rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine in Paris. The area is quiet in the daytime during the week, but it gets lively on weekend evenings with art galleries, shops, popular restaurants and bars, and Paris’ most famous bal-musette (traditional dance hall), the Balajo. It is five minutes from the beautiful Place de Vosges in the Marais. The immediate neighborhood has excellent bakeries, a butcher, supermarket, health food supermarket, pharmacies, etc. Two of Paris’ best and most famous street markets are very close by, Richard Lenoir and Place d’Aligre. Not very far (three metro stations away) from this accommodation is the more and more trendy Oberkampf neighborhood.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Bastille (line 8, line 1).

This studio has an excellent location. The courtyard is charming and peaceful, but is in the heart of the busy Bastille neighborhood, very near the Metro, a dozen different bus lines, and more restaurants, cafes, bars and boutiques than one could visit. The apartment is thoughtfully furnished, with everything one could need for a short or long-term stay, from a complete kitchen to an ironing board and hairdryer. The Internet connection is great, the cable TV stations are most welcome (including English-language stations like CNN and BBC), and the free calls to land phones in the US, Europe, and Asia are a wonderful asset. The owner is very gracious, helpful, and friendly, available for questions or problems by phone and e-mail. Her English is excellent, and she really cares that you have a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this Bastille apartment to others. |

Mrs. Ys stay went perfectly. Our email exchanges when creating her file [...], our first meeting for the payment of the deposit, when handing her and getting back the keys all happened in a perfectly courteous manner. She left the furnished rental impeccable. |
