Whether you are in Paris on vacation or for a longer period, make yourself at home in this charming Parisian one bedroom apartment located in the hilly old neighborhood of Gambetta - Pere Lachaise in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. Very bright thanks to its French doors opening onto a little balcony in the living room and bedroom, it is fully furnished and even includes extras that you might need to make your stay convenient, including a washing machine. After a long day at work, school or walking around Paris, you will appreciate the calm of your apartment overlooking the building garden, and its location in a residential building. It is situated on the 3rd floor (considered 4th by Americans) of a 6-story building with elevator and digicode.
The red sofa and ottomans in the living room create a pleasant contrast with the white walls and are the perfect splash of color that brings life and personality to this apartment! The sofa pulls out into a double bed, providing additional sleeping arrangements to the bedroom. There is also a TV with cable access, as well as a dining table and chairs seating four. In the kitchen you will find all the basic appliances to cook your meals at home, including a microwave, coffee maker and toaster, as well as a dishwasher! The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and has a direct access to the half bathroom with the W/C. The full bathroom conveniently has two washbasins, surmounted by a large mirror with vanity lights.
This one bedroom apartment, located at Rue du Capitaine Marchal and Rue de l'Adjudant Réau, will give you an authentic local feel. Protected from the hustle of the city but still close enough to all major attractions, the Gambetta / Pere Lachaise area is full of family-owned cafés and bars, restaurants, theaters and shops. You can find a Monoprix supermarket on Avenue Gambetta, 350 meters away (1150 feet). For a night out with friends, head 1.1 km (approx. .68 miles) to the La Flèche d'Or Bar and Club, a restaurant and concert venue, heart of Paris indie music scene. Other places of interest in the area include the Père Lachaise Cemetery (less than 1.6 km / 1 mile away), reputed to be the world's most visited cemetery and considered Paris' most hauntingly beautiful place of rest. The Parc des Buttes Chaumont is located 2.2 km (1.36 miles) north west of the apartment and offers great panoramic views over Paris thanks to its location on a rocky hill.
To explore the rest of what the City of Lights has to offer, the closest metro station is Pelleport and is served by line 3 bis. Take it for 2 stops and change for the 11 line that will take you to the center of Paris, pass the Belleville area, one of Paris' most cosmopolitan area full of artists, shops and is the birthplace of the famous French singer Edith Piaf! Alternatively you can head to the Gambetta station and take the line 3 crossing Paris from west to east, completely on the Right Bank ("rive droite"), or the Paris Tramway at Porte de Bagnolet.
