Live like a local in a charming studio apartment with this furnished studio in the Batignolles neighborhood of the 17th arrondissement!
Located on Rue de Chazelles between Rue de Courcelles & Rue de Prony, this basic studio accommodation is on the 6th French floor (considered 7th in U.S.) of a walk-up Hausmanien building with concierge. While there is internet in the apartment, please note that the wifi access is via hotspots rather than a router in the apartment itself.
Featuring hard wood floors and sloped ceilings, this basic 10sqm Parisian abode offers general amenities for a pleasant stay in the city of lights. The compact home is equipped with a twin bed, DVD player and nicely stocked kitchenette with essential cooking appliances, cabinetry and dishware. Large French windows overlook the gorgeous Parisian landscape. With built-in bookshelves stocked with paperbacks and a desk with chair for workspace, this apartment is both elegant and practical.
This home in the Batignolles community of the city’s 17th arrondissement allows tenants to experience the real Paris, away from souvenir shops and tourist-filled streets. Once the stomping ground of famous artists and writers such as Emile Zola and Edouard Manet, it is now a trendy bohemian neighborhood attracting young people and an active nightlife scene. Some local gems in the neighborhood include vintage stores on rue Legendre (1.4km/0.9mi)and a Saturday morning organic market on Boulevard des Batignole (1.3km/0.8mi)! Other famously beloved attractions in the area include Place de Clichy (1.7m/1mi) and Parc Monceau (400m/0.3mi).
Public transportation is easy from this location, as there are many metro options within walking distance. The nearest metro station is Courcelles (280m/0.2mi), serving the 2 line. Additionally you may walk to the Malesherbes (450m/0.3mi) metro serving line 3.

I was very pleased with this apartment and my stay there. The apartment, though small, was very comfortable and well-equipped. The main part of the room had a fold-out bed that served as a couch in the day. The folding chairs and folding table provided were convenient because they could be cleared out of the way when not in use. There was a functional built-in desk and many shelves and cabinets that were more than ample for my needs. Wifi was included. It cut in and out occasionally, but that wasn't a big deal, and it was fast and adequate otherwise. For an apartment of this type and size in Paris, it had a good kitchen with a reasonable amount of counter space, convenient drying racks, and a good variety and quantity of cookware. There were a small refrigerator, two-burner induction cook top, and a toaster oven, but no microwave, which was fine for me. The bathroom was small but well equipped with toilet, shower, medicine cabinet with mirror, and sink with mirror. A taller mirror above the sink would have been nice though, as it was positioned too low for my height. The owners were very polite, kind, helpful, and even generous, going so far as buying or providing additional pans, utensils, and towels after asking if I had everything I needed. |

The apartement is quite small but there is everything you need. It was just renovated and it is really pretty. The metro is very close. But you have to be sportive to get up the 6. floor everytime... |

Lorena, thank you for your kind comments and for choosing my apartment. As is mentioned in the description, the apartment is on the 6th floor and can be accessed by the staircase as is often the case in haussmanian buildings. That's Paris' charm and, besides, it's good exercise to keep fit! |
