This one bedroom duplex is located in the Montorgueil area of the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, an important business and textile district. On the right bank of the Seine River, this area is home to many banking headquarters, as well as the Opéra and Bourse (stock exchange). The rental is on the top two floors of a five-story 20th century walk-up building, which has a “digicode” entry system. The unit has northwestern exposure and overlooks the street below.
The fully furnished 41-sqm apartment has hardwood floors throughout, as well as several angled windows, which not only offer lovely views, but also allow in the sunlight, making the space rather luminous. On the lower level is the open living area, which features a decorative fireplace and is furnished in an eclectic fashion with a nautical theme—accessories include oars, shark teeth, and a globe. The living room has a single bed, a double sofa bed, a coffee table, and a flat-screen TV with cable programming.
