Description
1 Bedroom Apartment Rental in Upper West Side (NY-12655)
1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom - Sleeps 2

Enjoy Upper West elegance with park proximity! This one bedroom apartment is located on the second floor (first for Europeans) of a walk-up brownstone, looking south onto tree-lined 88th Street, next to Central Park. This building is completely non-smoking and has a security system.

The high ceilings, decorative molding, and tall south-exposed windows in the living room come together to create an apartment that is both airy and cozy. The tall decorative fireplace and De Padova sofa and armchair set by Vico Magistretti add a warm touch, creating the perfect place for you to recharge after a day in New York City. Off the living room, you’ll find the modern white kitchen, with a gas range and other appliances so you can dine in! The charming pink-tiled bathroom has a shower/tub combo and comes with towels. In the bedroom, you can enjoy a south-exposed window and high ceilings from the comfort of the queen-sized bed. You’ll have plenty of storage space thanks to the two built-in closets.

With an entrance to Central Park just two blocks (320 m) away at 86th Street, you have easy access to Manhattan’s best green space. Turn south at the entrance to visit the Museum of Natural History (8 blocks/ 965 m), or take advantage of the Shuman Running Track (0.4 mi/ 640 m) around the reservoir. If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love the proximity to Milk Bar Upper West Side, (1 block/160 m)! If you’re looking for a real New York bagel, you’ll have to try Barney Greengrass (3 blocks/ 480 m), a Manhattan institution. For dinner, you’ll find Italian classics at Osteria Cotta (3 blocks/ 480 m), and a great deal on fresh oysters at The Mermaid Inn (2 blocks/ 480 m). The nearest subway station, 86 St (1 line, 500 ft./150 m) so close to you, it couldn’t be easier to see the rest of New York!

Really great place, but the condition around friends and family staying overnight was really prohibitive and a little unreasonable. I would have stayed for 12months if this clause was lifted.

Hello Caitlin,
Thank you for posting with NYHabitat your evaluation about your stay in our Apartment.
We certainly were most appreciative of it. It makes our apartment come out as likable. Thank you.
One other thing we would like to respond to you about, and that has to do with your disappointment about the "staying overnight" clause.
You are right, and the clause will be softened. The reason to have it in the contract is that: it is a Security measure geared for the Tenant to give us a heads up about novel faces in the building. Security is utmost in our minds. We wished you had talked about it while you were here. It would have been nice to have you stay longer !!!
All the best Caitlin, and thank you,
Carlo and Massimo
