This sparkling three-bedroom apartment is located in Stuyvesant Heights, the historic section of Bedford-Stuyvesant in central Brooklyn just north of Crown Heights. New York. The apartment is situated on the fourth floor (considered third floor by Europeans) of a four-story brownstone building on Decatur Street. With both northern and southern exposure, this apartment provides views of the street below as well as the backyard.
This top floor apartment has a unique aesthetic with white walls decorated with designs done on small white lights. The common living room is furnished with two couches, a coffee table and a dining table that seats four, a nice place for roommates to gather or enjoy meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with matching white appliances and has tiled floors for easy clean-up. The individual bedrooms are all similarly furnished, with double sized beds and desks. Each also has a private closet for hanging clothes (though please note that Bedroom 3's closet is off of the hallway) and storing your belongings.
The owner of this apartment will be happy to provide advice and recommendations to ensure your stay in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood and New York overall, is more than exceptional.
This apartment is situated in a designated historic area called Stuyvesant Heights in the southern portion of the greater Bedford-Stuyvesant area. The brownstone building is even on a landmark block, just off of Decatur Street and Sumner Avenue. This apartment is surrounded by various playgrounds and it is also right near the Decatur Park which has a tennis court! If you enjoy dining out, you can go to some of the great restaurants in the neighborhood such as Saraghina (3 blocks north) or Jeffrey Restaurant (2 blocks north). If you prefer to cook your own meals, the nearest grocery store, Fine Fare, is just around the block! Fulton Street is just one avenue block south, where you can find various shopping outlets, such as clothing boutiques or bicycle shops. You can also admire the historic architecture of the area during strolls -- the row townhouses and brownstones are iconic in Brooklyn movies and television shows!
If you need to travel to other areas in Brooklyn or to Manhattan, you can utilize the public transportation system. The subway is just one avenue from this three bedroom apartment, located on Fulton Street and Throop Avenue. It will give you access to the C line, which can connect you with the express A train in just one stop, or will run locally all the way through downtown Manhattan to Harlem if you need it!
