This fully furnished room for rent is in a shared two bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, where you will find every convenience, tons of shops, restaurants, cafes, and post office nearby. It’s ½ block from Riverside Park, four blocks from Central Park, with The Metropolitan Museum on the other side of Central Park, and easy access to Lincoln Center, Columbus Circle, midtown, downtown, and all of New York. The apartment is on the 7th and top floor (considered 6th in Europe) of a pre-war elevator building with a buzzer/intercom system for guest entry. There is also the convenience of on-site laundry facilities in the building's basement. Situated away from the street, the room is quiet and private.
The room for rent is fully furnished with a single bed nestled in an alcove between two closets. One closet is available for storage, and there is a dresser, desk, and bookshelf as well. There is a chair by the window for relaxing at home. Internet is provided; a telephone is available for local calls, and an air conditioning unit cools the space.
The separate eat-in kitchen is equipped with a sink, a fridge, a stove, a microwave, storage cabinets, a round dining table. The white tiled bathroom, shared with the roommates, features a luxurious old-style tub, and overhead shower. The second bedroom is used by the roommates, situated at the other end of the apartment, separated by a curtain. Please note that there is no living room in this apartment; the two bedrooms function like two studio apartments, separated by the hallway, shared kitchen and bath.
This furnished bedroom is on 83rd Street, on Manhattan's Upper West Side, less than a block from Riverside Park and the Hudson River where there are plenty of trails for jogging or strolls, as well as the 79th Street Boat Basin and its adjoining Cafe. The Museum of Natural History is about 5 blocks away, as is Central Park. Broadway, a little over a block away, is lined with plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as a Loews movie theater, and a Barnes & Noble. It is also convenient to many colleges and universities.
The nearby subway station (79th or 86th Street) serves the 1,2,3 (7th Ave IRT) lines, about a 4-block walk away; bus lines on Broadway, Riverside Drive, 79th and 86th streets connect you easily to the rest of New York City.

The owner of the apartment was wonderful! They made me feel so very welcome, especially being away from home. They were very gracious and kind and I would definitely rent from them again! |

Perfect location, room is bright and clean. You often have the apartment for yourself because the roommate has also an apartment upstate. The owner is a very nice lady and I was happy to have her as a roommate. |

The apartment is as described on the site. It is well located in a quiet street, the subway, markets, bank, restaurant and stores are very near. |
