Housed in a beautiful prewar building in the West 70's on Manhattan’s storied Upper West Side, this shared two bedroom apartment with one bathroom is an informed and economic choice for your stay in New York City. This second floor walkup (considered first floor by Europeans) apartment share features the choice of two furnished rooms for rent, with each of the rooms of the apartment connected by a long hallway that runs the length of the apartment.
The furnishings of both the first and second rooms for rent include a full bed and built in closet. You might notice a door connecting the first bedroom to your roommate’s space next door. Rest assured that this door is not in use and remains locked at all times. The other common areas of this space are the kitchen and bathroom, both of which include all the basics. Lovely hardwood floors unite the apartment, and wireless internet is also available.
Please note that the room marked as Unavailable on the floorplan is used for storage, and unavailable to tenants.
One of New York’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Upper West Side is historic, yet completely modern. Don’t be surprised if you recognize some of the sights and buildings. Chances are one of your favorite movies or television shows was filmed here! Just two blocks away is the Museum of Natural History, the perfect place to spend a rainy afternoon. You are also blocks from both Central Park and Riverside Park, two of Manhattan’s signature green spaces that feature a variety of recreational activities and are the perfect respite from the bustling cityscape.
Your neighborhood also features amazing shopping and dining options. Many New Yorkers swear that Shake Shack, which you’ll find a block and a half away on West 77th Street and Central Park West is the In n Out Burger of the East Coast, and the lines that are at times out the door certainly attest to its popularity. Whether it’s a gourmet cupcake, Indian, or a great place to watch the game you’re looking for, you’ll find it all here and a short distance from your apartment. Best of all, if you like to cook you’ll love Fairway Market, perhaps NYC’s most beloved grocery chain located a quick walk from your apartment on West 72nd Street and Broadway. Here you’ll find quite possibly the best selection of produce, meats, and baked goods in the city, and if you don’t feel like cooking be sure to try the expansive prepared foods selection.
There are several subway stops nearby. The 1 train at 79th Street and Broadway and the B and C trains at 81st Street and Central Park West both run along the west side of Manhattan, with the latter two providing continuing service to Brooklyn.

My overall experience of living in this apartment for 3 months was very positive. The apartment had a great location in a safe neighbourhood with a metro station around the corner. The landlord was very kind and it was great living with her. Her prompt responsiveness and willingness to address any questions or concerns in regard to the apartment made it an overall positive experience. |

My stay at the apartment of Teressa was gorgeous. She helped me a lot to explore New York and the people who are living there. Additionally she supported me to enhance my English and my general performance of being self-confident in dealing with another language. |

I had a very comfortable time at Ms. Vallas apartment. Its a clean and a perfectly situated apartment situated 1.5 away from the Metro and has a 24 hr grocery store and pharmacy right opposite the building. Best decision of my summer. |
