Make your home in the Villiers area of Paris with this conveniently located one bedroom apartment. This apartment is close to some of the best parts of the 17th arrondissement, from the Parc Monceau to reputed local schools to a metro station with access to two subway lines. The building itself dates from the turn of the 20th century, and is complete with an elevator, a concierge lobby attendant and a digicode/interphone system at the entrance. The apartment is on the 1st floor (considered the 2nd floor by Americans) and was renovated in 2012 to include modern amenities such as double-glazed windows and a dishwasher.
You will find many typical Parisian elements in this one bedroom apartment -- there are three decorative fireplaces, elegant ceiling moldings and tall double windows that extend almost from floor to ceiling. The furnishings have been carefully chosen to compliment these features. There is a cherry wood dining table, set off well by the natural wood floors. The built-in shelving houses a flat screen television, as well as an array of books. The sofa can unfold into a double size bed to accommodate additional guests. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, and has unique slate counterops and a stained glass panel to provide interest. The bedroom is found off the kitchen, and has a double size bed with a silk bedspread and a desk and dresser to store belongings. The bedroom windows have shutters for privacy and custom-made drapes surround all the windows.
Situated on a pedestrian street lined with small shops, it will be a pleasure to be able to step outside your building and find many conveniences practically outside your door! You will find cafes, a bakery and produce shops close to this apartment at the intersection of the Rue de Lévis and Rue des Dames; there is also a pharmacy and a Monoprix nearby, a French chain store with a supermarket and retail items like clothes and household things (both within 40 meters or 130 feet from the apartment). For dining out, you can choose from a variety of restaurants in the Batignolles - Ternes area -- there are plenty within a 3 block radius of the apartment. This part of Paris is also welcoming for families with children, as the nearest primary and high schools are well-reputed for their quality of education (collège and lycée Carnot). The lovely Parc Monceau is only 450 meters away from the apartment (about 1/4 of a mile), and has plenty of paths and greenery for relaxing.
When you do need to get out of the area, you can access the 2 and 3 metro lines at the Villiers stop, just 250 meters away from the apartment (about 820 feet). The 2 line will connect you to the Charles de Gaulle - Étoile transit hub where you have the option to transfer to several other lines, as well as the RER A.
