It is located near the intersection of East 78th Street & York Avenue right where the chic Upper East Side meets neighboring Yorkville.
Half of the apartment’s 300 sqft (about 28 sqm) are taken up by the living room, with a double sofa bed, hardwood floors and modern furniture. A small table serves as the dining area right next to your open kitchen, complete with an oven and dishwasher. The compact sleeping alcove is furnished with a double bed next to the window and a dresser with a television on top. More storage space is available in the hall closet. The tiled bathroom has a toilet, combination shower/bathtub and a sink. Laundry facilities are located in the basement.
With this apartment, you’re just a block from the East River, where John Jay Park offers great views of Roosevelt Island, Queens, and Brooklyn. Dining options in the area can’t be beat, with old New York establishments like Jones Wood Foundry (English pub; .3mi/450m) and the famous 2nd Avenue Deli (Kosher deli; .4mi/550m) giving a taste of the neighborhood’s past.

I stayed at the apartment for more than 5 months for a long-term business trip. It's located in a very nice residential area and still very close to the center of the city. The apartment complex is a historic building and amazingly beautiful. I felt in love with the place from the first sight. I truly enjoyed my stay and wish to stay here again when I visit NYC again. The lender is very nice, helpful and considerate. I really appreciated her help while I stayed the apartment. |

I had an amazing experience in this apartment. The location couldn't be better. It is a small apartment but enough for a person/couple. It has a comfortable sofa-bed in the living room, perfect for visits. The landlady is charming and the communication with her is fast and efficient all the time. I'm very happy. |
