Lived here for a full year while studying in Manhattan. Great location- commute via Q/B and transfer to 6 is very easy from Dekalb, and access to the A/C at Jay Street. The large window in the room is nice and it has good storage under the bed. Building is amazing with great doormen, a good fitness center and pool right on the same floor, etc. So close to the new City Point center with an Alamo Drafthouse, Trader Joe's, and Target. The owner is very friendly and willing to show you around if you get to know him. Laundry in unit, and a laundromat very close by for larger loads. Not very noisy on our floor and lots of the noise from the street, but it is near a busy intersection leading onto the bridge, and around the corner from a fire station so some sirens. Overall great! |

Couple of instances where the owner was smoking in the apartment, when it was advertised as smoking. The washing machine was broken when I moved in and it took 2 months to get fixed. There was a bug situation usually when it got colder, fall/winter time; there were a lot of little beetles flying in. Outside of that, apt was clean, living space is clean, the owner is in the apt all the time though. Owner was camped out in the living room all the time. Owner is looking for a friend even though he is said he isn't. So be prepared to have a friendly relationship with the person. The apartment is super convenient, close to subways; metro tech is right across the street for anyone working at JP Morgan Chase. All amenities listed are provided, no movie theatre though, the concierge is really great. |
