I am a 20yo student from Sydney. I stayed in this gorgeous space for 4 weeks prior to my start at university. |

I stayed with Mary and John in their beautiful home for four months while I undertook an internship in Midtown. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious, bright and lovingly maintained to highlight the historical intricacies. Mary was especially supportive during the coronavirus lockdown as I was far from home, though she was never overbearing or unwelcome. I enjoyed our conversations and her advice, but she never intruded on my privacy. For a lone traveller interested in New York City, history and the arts, Mary is the most wonderful host and storyteller. The neighbourhood is vibrant and welcoming, comprising countless restaurants and stores on Myrtle Avenue, and a community of lifelong residents and newcomers. Fort Greene Park, where I spent many afternoons running, walking and people-watching, is not far away. I hope to stay again someday soon. |
