This NYC one bedroom apartment is located in the East Village, Manhattan. The apartment is found on the second floor in a 5-floor prewar, walk-up building. This building has a front door security system with double doors and a locked security gate.
The furnished apartment is designed in a traditional style that will make you feel right at home. Hardwood floors are seen throughout and the open layout kitchen and living room allows for ease of motion. The kitchen has wood cabinets and new stainless steel appliances. The living area has two couches for your comfort and a flat screen television mounted on the wall. There is a storage closet with a fold-up single bed for guests. The one bedroom is furnished with a double bed that includes bedding and towels for your convenience. Please note that the heating system is radiator steam which can cause loud clanging when in use during the winter months.
The apartment is on East 13th Street and First Avenue which will put you right in the center of the East Village. This neighborhood boasts dozens of international restaurants for delicious bites from around the world. Some must eats are ramen at Momofuku Noddle Bar (0.2mi/280m) and short rib pierogis at Veselka (0.4mi/600m). Additionally, Tompkins Square Park is only 4 blocks from the apartment and offers a calm oasis in New York City. A grocery store is located less than a block away, and there is a laundromat on the other side of the block.
New York public transportation is particularly convenient with the L train at 1 Avenue / 14 Street (0.1mi/160m), connecting you to the trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn, one stop east or to the rest of Manhattan to the west.

We had a really nice stay here! The managers are nice, easy to reach and quick to respond. The living space felt decently large for a NY apartment at this price point, well maintained and cleaned. It was very quiet almost all of the time except for two or three loud parties with Latin music in a building nearby. As a European I loved the huge fridge and the gas stove but missed an electric kettle (there's one in the apartment now). The bathroom doesn't have an outlet so I had to feed my razor charger through the door which was a bit funny. Target and Trader Joe's are close by and had almost everything I wanted to buy extra for the place. |

Great spot. The neighbor played the Piano pretty loud a few hours a day but other than that, great spot. |

We enjoyed our stay and the managers of the property were quick to help whenever we had a question or a problem, however I do believe the property could be a bit better maintained, for example paint peeling from the ceiling, the bedroom is like a prison cell and could afford a bit of decoration on the walls, the kitchen lacked a few utensils (eg no frying pan) but besides that we loved the location and it was clean. |

Further to this review, we contacted the owner of this apartment who confirmed that he has added a coat of paint to the ceiling to freshen up the apartment. More kitchenware has been added to the apartment so that enough is provided for table settings for 3 people plus supplies to cook. |
