This fully furnished one bedroom apartment is located in the East Village in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The apartment is found on the 4th floor (5th floor for Americans) of a 6-story of a prewar, walk-up building. This building has a front door security system with double doors and a locked security gate.
Wood floors line the living room and bedroom of this apartment. The living room features a television, a double-sized futon bed and a closet providing extra storage space. A grocery store is located less than a block away, and there is a Laundromat on the other side of the block.
Public transportation is particularly convenient with the L train at 1st Avenue just over 1 block away, connecting you to the trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn, one stop east or to the rest of Manhattan to the west.

The apartment was exactly as advertised. It was easy to get in contact with the building manager when I arrived and there were no issues with the apartment during my stay. The cooking utensils were minimal, but adequate for simple cooking. |

The main negative of the apartment is the only airconditioner was in the bedroom. That made it difficult to cool the rest of the apartment, and caused us to run that airconditioner more and at a lower temperature. |

Except for extremely hot days the A/C provided does a great job of cooling the entire apartment. Perhaps the A/C in that unit was not working properly, I'll have it checked out for next summer. |
