This furnished studio apartment is located on Rue de Fleurus between Boulevard Raspail and Rue d’Assas. It is situated in the historical district of Saint Germain des Pres, known for its elegant trendy streets, many stylish fashion shops, antique shops, art galleries, sophisticated and traditional restaurants, pubs and cinemas. After World War II, St. Germain-des-Près became synonymous with intellectual life centered on bars and cafes. This accommodation is within a short walking distance to the Seine River and the delightful Ile Saint Louis and not far from the “Jardin du Luxembourg”. There are all sorts of essential shops and services in the neighbourhood, such as the lively market situated on Rue de Buci.
Premises:
This 13m² (approx 140 sq ft) studio apartment is located on the second floor (3rd in the USA) of a 19th century walk up building. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system and by an intercom opens into a hall with the concierge’s office. It leads to a courtyard with the staircase on the left hand side.
The studio opens directly into the main room. It has parquet floor.
The 11m² (approx. 120 sq. ft.) main room has a window with curtains and a view on the courtyard. It is furnished with a double size sofa bed, a desk with a chair. It is also equipped with a small TV, Optic Fiber WiFi and a cupboard.
The open kitchen is equipped with two electric plates, a refrigerator, a microwave combo oven, a toaster, a kettle and a coffee maker.
The bathroom has a washbasin, a toilet and a shower.
Heat and hot water are electric and individual.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Saint Placide (line 4).

There was construction right outside my window which made it incredibly loud. Don't know when that will end but you should inquire about that. If there is no construction, it's a very peaceful space. |

Several outlets either did not function to start, or stopped working about 3 months in to my stay. The addition of a WiFi connection would have been ideal. |

The owner was extremely helpful when problems arose, very accommodating, pleasant and helpful in all respects. Though the apartment was small, compensation was found in the courtyard outlook. There were two difficulties that were not easily resolved: Wifi/Internet service and electricity costs. The signal strength, given the remote location of the Wifi equipment, was too weak for my computer to receive and it became necessary for me to contract my own service, an expense I had not anticipated. |
