This studio in the neighborhood of Paris’s Saint-Germain-des-Pres in the 7th arrondissement presents an ideal location for a remarkable vacation (or longer stay!). It features the perfect blend of modern attractions and historic buildings, offering swanky boutiques such as Louis Vuitton as well as old cafes once popularized by famous existentialist thinkers and intellectual writers!
The studio apartment sits on Rue Perronet & Rue des Saints-Pères, on the 2nd floor (considered 3rd in U.S.) of a five-story walk-up building. An intercom security system accommodates privacy and easy guest entry. For maximum comfort and convenience, a personal laundry washer/dryer is included in the home!
Entrance to the modernly furnished studio apartment is accessed via a small red staircase. The front door opens to the main living space, lined with hard wood flooring and decorated with youthful accessories. For maximum floor space, an elevated full-sized loft bed hovers over a bright red sofa and is accessible via a wooden ladder. Black shelves provide item storage space. A window supplies ventilation. For your entertainment, a flat-screen cable television is included.
The open kitchenette presents yellow-and-green tiled backsplash, white cabinets for item storage, and bright red cooking utensils. Basic cooking appliances include a microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, and mini-fridge. Perhaps one of the biggest highlights of this studio is the tiled bathroom that offers a multi-jet deluxe shower with integrated radio and a window for ventilation.
Lining the Left Bank of the Seine River, the Saint-Germain-des-Pres community extends toward the breathtaking Jardin du Luxembourg and is surrounded by the Latin Quarter and Eiffel Tower – in other words, this studio apartment is near a hub of Paris' must-see tourist attractions! Listed below are some suggestions of where to go in the area.
- Musée d'orsay: Largest collection of sculpture, painting, and decorative objects produced between 1848 and 1914. (800m/ .5 mi)
- Louvre Museum: Historic monument and one of the world’s largest museums, just on the other side of the Seine (1km or .6mi)

I had a wonderful stay at this apartment for the summer! While the studio was quite small, the space was definitely maximized to the best extent and it felt perfect for my short term stay. The bed was very large and comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and hot water. The best thing about this place was definitely the location, being a 12 minute walk from the Louvre and a 5 minute walk to the metro station. The neighborhood itself was very nice and safe. The landlord was very communicative and easy to work with as well. I would rent from him again. |

This apartment was perfect for me as a single student because it was around the corner from my school and very close to multiple grocery stores and other shops. While the apartment is on the smaller side, the use of space was amazing and it had every possible amenity I could have ever needed. Towels, sheets, pillows, coffee maker, dryer/washer, pots, pans, plates, cups, everything!! The heated towel rack was great during the winter and the wall unit heater also works very well. The building is down a nice quiet street and the walls seemed very thick as I never really heard my neighbors above me. The landlord was wonderful and was always available via text message if I needed any assistance with anything (his English is great). Overall, I found this apartment to be perfect for my study abroad time and am very thankful that New York Habitat helped me find it. The neighborhood is also extremely safe and I never felt worried about walking home alone at night. |

The apartment furnishings included everything anyone would ever need. The couch was very cozy and it reclined, which was awesome. The bed was unreal comfortable, and the old sheets were replaced with fresh ones as part of the very thorough monthly cleaning. The apartment also contained a combination washer/dryer, which saved me a ton of time being able to do laundry inside the apartment. |
