Just two blocks from the Seine River in the 6th arrondissement, this studio apartment is a great getaway in central Paris. This apartment is on the ground floor of a 4-story building in the Odeon neighborhood, part of the greater St. Germain - Luxembourg - St. Michel area, a fantastic central location for both vacationers and those who want to stay in Paris a little while. There is an alarm to secure the entrance to the studio.
Decorated in neutral colors and featuring oak floors, this studio is furnished with the essentials, including a convertible double size sofa bed, a flat screen television, a dresser and a desk, as well as some convenient extras. There are two closets as well as shelves in the living area, and the kitchen has an elevated dining table for meals. Despite the modern appliances, the kitchen also has a bit of history to it: rustic red tiles that date from the 18th century! In the bathroom you'll find a bathtub with a shower, a cube sink and wall-hung toilet, as well as a towel warmer. The cute oval window of the apartment in the main living area looks west onto the interior courtyard of the building. PLEASE NOTE that this is the only window in the apartment.
You can find this apartment near the intersection of Rue Dauphine and Rue Christine, part of the Odeon area in Paris. This area is bustling due to its many universities (including La Sorbonne), as well as the famous sights that bring people from all over the world (Jardin du Luxembourg, Musée d'Orsay). You have lots of opportunities to learn about the historical aspects of Paris with the nearby church Église de Saint-Germain-des-Prés (500 meters or about .3 miles away); the original abbey was built in the 6th century! of course, there is also the famous Notre Dame Cathedral on the Ile de la Cité, which you can reach fairly easily since the apartment is so close to the Seine River (750 meters or a little under 1/2 a mile). Alternatively, you can choose to cross the Seine to the Right Bank, where you will find the Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries.
For day-to-day needs, you won't have to go far, there is a supermarket within 100 meters (about 300 feet) and a pharmacy just down the street from the apartment. Additionally, the metro is easily accessible with the Odéon station 3 blocks from the apartment, which provides access to lines 4 and 10.
