Live in a duplex among the tree-lined blocks of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. This classic brownstone includes two bedrooms allowing for privacy and space.
Please Note: These are separate rooms to rent in a shared apartment. Only the bedroom is for rent and is private; all other rooms including the kitchen, living room, and a 1.5 bathroom will be shared with roommates.
Located on Clifton Place and Bedford Ave, this fully furnished two bedroom apartment is on the third and fourth floor of a walkup townhouse. A light blue living room greets you when you walk through the entrance, the soft colors and modern furnishings bring light and openness to the living space. The room includes a flat screened television with extra storage underneath. The living space’s open floor plan brings you to a dining area and open kitchen with stainless steel appliances, tile backsplash, and a rack including essential pots and pans. On this first floor is a shared half bathroom. Bedroom 1 on this floor faces the backyard and includes a decorative fireplace and an attached office space with a full closet. Bedroom 2 faces the street side and is on the top floor. This room includes a double sized bed, red armchair, dresser and two windows. Both of the bedrooms are decorated in simple, neutral tones, a blank pallet to design yourself. The second bathroom is upstairs and includes a full bathtub. Also upstairs is an additional sleeping space with a double sized bed and a sofa.
Bedford Stuyvesant makes it accessible to all the benefits of its surrounding neighborhoods of Fort Greene, Clinton Hill and Crown Heights while maintaining a small-town charm. The apartment is only a few blocks away from the Hebert Von King Park (0.5mi/750m) for dreamy summer evenings. The Pratt Institute, a renowned art school is only 0.8mi (1.2km) away. It is also close to many practical amenities such as Home Depot (0.5mi/750m) and Target (1.3mi/2.1km). For cutting-edge culture, head over to BAM- Brooklyn Academy of Music- that shows experimental plays and movies (1.4mi/2.2km).
The apartment is in a prime location to access the rest of Brooklyn at the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue station (0.2mi/350m) on the G train and both Manhattan and Queens on the C local train from Franklin Avenue / Fulton Street (0.6mi/1km).

Pictures are very outdated. Seems like there was a very poor paint job at one point, specks of paint on the floors make it never seem clean. there was heavy water damage to the kitchen ceiling where the steam pipe goes to the third floor, which was never fixed. One of the two showers was broken from before I moved in, until I moved out. The bed was a wire cot, not a real frame with a box spring. |

Great location, big/spacious rooms, neutral decor. Not all of the rooms have AC and while I was there only one shower was functioning because the owner refused to fix the other one. I would suggest to whomever stays here to keep every exchange with the owner in writing (agreements, discussions, receipts, etc). Furthermore, make sure to check if the room(s) and apartament are clean before you move in. |
