Built in the prewar era, this building with its exposed bricks and fire escapes features a security system with double door and locked security gate as well as air conditioning. The apartment is on the first floor (considered ground floor by Europeans) and has a southern exposure from the bedroom while the living room faces east.
The apartment is fully furnished and features hardwood floors that match with the wooden furniture pieces. As you enter the apartment, you’ll find yourself in the air-conditioned open living and kitchen area. There is a double sofa bed and a flat-screen TV. The kitchen is equipped with the main appliances and utensils, and you can sit down to enjoy your home-cooked meals at the dining table. The bedroom is located at the other end of the apartment and includes a double size bed and a dresser. There is storage space found throughout the apartment, so make yourself at home and store your personal belongings in the closet, dressers, and shelves. Please note that the heating system is radiator steam, which can cause loud clanging when in use during the cold season.

Stuyvesant Park, Tompkins Square Park and The Creative Little Garden, among other parks, are found within a half-mile (800 meters) radius.
The closest subway station, 1 Avenue / 14 Street on the L line, is across the street (0.1mi/160m). You can catch the N and R trains at the 8 Street / Broadway: New York University station (0.6mi/1.0km or 9 blocks) or the 6 train at the Astor Place / 4 Avenue station, right across form it. You’ll be able to connect to other lines that can take you all around NYC quite easily.

Our stay was excellent! The apartment is quiet, clean, comfortable, well located. The caretaker is there when you need. The only downside is that there's little natural light. |
